Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Trello is currently used sporadically by a few departments in our organization. It is primarily used as collaboration tools to track activities in a project which involve members from a single department and/or member across different departments. It helps a lot in tracking activities and allocating resources to certain activities in a project and also as a tool for team coordination.

Pros and Cons

Web based delivery provides seamless access anywhere and anytime.
Intuitive and easy to use.

Semi-online features would be a game changer when there is no internet connection.
Upload size limitation makes it very hard to collaborate with large data.

Return on Investment

Trello helps reduce cost for coordinating a project.
By using Trello we were also able to keep our projects on track.

Jira Software, Asana and Slack

Compared to others, Trello is definitely one of the most economical options which makes it more appealing to freelancers. It is also more simple and visually engaging which makes it intuitively easy to use. However, it lacks advanced features such as timeline management, charting, progress tracking, and monitoring and reporting statistics.

Support Rating

Huge and helpful articles in their knowledge base make it easier to find a solution for common problems. The wide external community of professional users and internal specialists can provide comprehensive support. Trello also provides a collection of ready to use dashboard samples that can be customized to any purpose which speed-up adoption process.

Trello works well on organizing and coordinating small to medium projects involving team members working from virtual offices connected by public internet access. However, when there is limited or even no internet access then it becomes unusable. Moreover, when working with large scale projects Trello's dashboard becomes too cluttered which makes it very hard to manage.
