Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Our consultant always responds quickly, just one case is still pending which depends on the healthcare carrier.
Personal attention is good. System is not very user-friendly.
I am a consultant to a tech startup in the Silicon Valley, assisting them with coordinating the setup of TriNet Services (benefits and payroll) for their employees and ongoing changes/additions. We have used TriNet since the company's first payroll. We added a 401k plan a few months later. TriNet was a fast, easy way to rollout the services we needed as a new startup.

Pros

  • My consultant responds quickly and with clear instructions when I have questions about the system.

Cons

  • Getting specific details on a problem from a carrier has been a challenge with TriNet.
  • TriNet has allowed us to easily and accurately onboard new hires.
  • We've been able to attract excellent candidates with a full portfolio of health benefits and a 401k.
I like the fact that TriNet is local to the Bay Area and understands small businesses here.
TriNet is well suited for companies that are small and need to rollout services quickly to employees. As a company grows there is a point at which TriNet is probably too expensive compared to setting up health benefits and payroll directly.
