Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Trinet is being used for HR and payroll. Every employee has access to Trinet for benefits and payroll purposes. It serves as my outsourced HR and payroll organization. We have no employees on staff as a result.
  • Payroll in multiple states is very simple
  • Onboarding new hires take 5 minutes
  • Employees enjoy the self-serve model
  • TriNet reporting tools through Cognos are very poor, very slow, often don't work and the data is sometimes corrupted.
  • Once we moved up to a plus 30 employee tier, our service levels declined significantly. I no longer had 24-hour responses, issues took weeks and months to resolve.
  • The transition to the new portal was terrible. The portal was often not available from various browsers and would work with one browser but time out with the other browser. Very frustrating.
It's good when I get it, but it often takes days to get a reply.
The portal is confusing and limited in functionality.
  • It used to make my life very easy. Not so much these days.
We once used the Expense management solution. It was terrible. Very poorly integrated.
My rating was a 10 for three solid years but the past six months have been frustrating and disappointing. Thinking about switching providers.
