Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
Our whole organization uses it. It allows us to provide a Fortune 500-style benefit suite to current employees and to attract future hires. Since we cover 100% of employee health insurance, the savings through large group health insurance rates cover most of the administrative costs of using TriNet.
Pros
- The Web portal makes entering payroll easy.
- For departing employees, TriNet has provided good advice to mitigate the risk of unemployment claims.
- The health insurance rates are far below what we could obtain as a small business.
Cons
- Sometimes personal assistance take longer than we would like.
- Large payrolls that include year-end bonuses require cumbersome wire transfers.
- TriNet's closures on holidays disrupts our payroll schedule.
- TriNet's full suite of benefits and employee options for coverages allows us to compete for talent with much larger firms.
- TriNet allows us to manage HR using an office manager rather than a dedicated HR person.
Not sure if it was the PerformSmart platform, but we switched from TriNet to Insperity a few years ago when TriNet made mistakes in debiting our payroll account using the ACH system. After a couple of years with Insperity, we switched back to TriNet because the Insperity customer base includes high-risk blue-collar employees, and its underwriting was not transparent.
