Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

The entire organization uses TriNet. TriNet helps us to solve payroll, benefits availability and administration (this is crucial for us), supports our hiring and firing processes, and has assisted us with compliance across multiple states where we have remote workers.
  • New hire onboarding process.
  • Benefits availability of choice and fair premiums across states.
  • Payroll
  • The web portal is full of 3rd party services with sometimes less than perfect integration.
  • Wageworks for commuter benefits is a substandard solution.
  • The reports are buggy and rather hard to use.
I received excellent service from the TriNet team when I had an employee who was diagnosed with cancer. I needed guidance and tools to navigate the situation and the support I received was truly outstanding.
Though it is improving swiftly, the web portal can be confusing, it can be difficult to find things or to remember how to make certain changes—like adding remote locations. The real usability problem is with partner companies who offer services through TriNet, like Wageworks. The integrations are not perfect and the providers aren't at the right level.
  • Positive impact on our hiring because of benefits availability/administration/rates. Also, helps with retention.
  • Payroll accuracy and management because of easy payroll groups, administration, etc.
  • Greatly help with HR compliance across 50 states for hiring, firing, etc.
I selected TriNet because I had previously been an employee with a company using TriNet for HR and had a great experience. I also made the decision based on the breadth and depth of the benefits options available for my employees across 50 states.
I've had success with TriNet for early-stage companies that need the HR function taken care of so that they can hire quickly and provide solid benefits options to their employees. TriNet is expensive, so the stage of the company needs to be right.
