Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use TriNet as PEO for our California based employees. We use a different PEO for our Hawaii based employees. We use it primarily for HR guidance, payroll implementation, better benefits options.

Pros and Cons

The platform and tools are very user-friendly and do not require a lot of training.
Our TriNet representatives are very accessible and responsive, although I’ve heard that’s not always the case and highly dependent on the individuals assigned to your account.

TriNet is a little light on help with unemployment issues.
I wish the app had more management functionality.

Melissa and Gilbert have been very supportive during the pandemic and very responsive. TriNet hasn’t really made much of an impact on our HR processes, but the technology platform has been a significant part of how we manage our employees.

Usability

Very easy to use and doesn’t require a lot of training or technical background.

Return on Investment

Reduce admin task time.
Easier access to data and reports on payroll.
Give our employees better benefits options.

COVID-19 Support

Melissa and Gilbert were very available, supportive, and knowledgeable on how to navigate during this time including furloughs, PPP, etc.

Alternatives Considered

We use Altres’ HR Symphony in Hawaii.

Likelihood to Recommend

TriNet is well suited for small to mid sized companies who have someone who can basically manage the HR function but need support. They won’t get too involved on a person to person level. If you can manage most of the HR function on your own, TriNet’s tools make it easy for you.

My job would be a lot harder without TriNet
