Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used TriNet primarily for HR resources as well as to access my pay stubs, timesheets, W2s, and tax forms. TriNet was the single source for accessing all of these documents in one place and having HR related questions answered. Furthermore, when I moved to a new company, I was still able to log in to TriNet and access my past tax docs and W2s. I loved the fact that all of my information was securely stored whenever I needed to access it in the future.

Pros and Cons

One stop shop for company HR links, FAQs and personal information.
Secure login that stores personal data in your account for later use.
Access to W2s, tax forms, pay stubs, timesheet with user-friendly navigation.

I had to use a separate platform for my 401k account.
I was able to access previous years' W2s but past pay stubs may have disappeared.
No other issues.

Support Rating

Once upon a time, I needed to access some tax docs and W2s for a previous year. I had trouble logging in or forgot my password, but customer service got back to me in ample time so I could access it. They were very helpful but also ensured that I was indeed who I said I was so no anyone can access my personal info.

Usability

The site is user-friendly and navigation is intuitive. However, my rating is solely based upon comparison with other HR platforms such as Rippling. Rippling has the ability to store everything I need in one place as opposed to TriNet where I have to access multiple links to get to where I want.

COVID-19 Support

While working remotely, TriNet allowed users to access accounts from anywhere, whether at home or office. We were also connected to HR in case we had any questions or wanted to check in on mandates or new policy changes related to the COVID-19. The pandemic has been stressful but software programs such as TriNet and Rippling allow employees and the company to stay connected.

Alternatives Considered

Rippling

Rippling is far superior in my personal opinion. Rippling has a better user interface and a more modern feel. TriNet was old school and could use a refresh. Other features that I prefer are the ability to access anything from insurance docs to retirement links in Rippling. Both platforms have great security but overall, I prefer Rippling.

Likelihood to Recommend

TriNet worked best for me whenever I needed to quickly access HR docs for personal and financial use. The site was user-friendly and I rarely ran into glitches. The best part is that it seems to be 100% safe and secured for storing personal information. I only wished that all of the company and employee-related programs were in one place such as Rippling. I would have preferred my 401k access in TriNet as well.
