Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We use TriNet for all of our HR and payroll needs. We manage everything from holidays and time off to our annual performance review. Not having to worry about the nuances of the HR function have been invaluable for our small non-profit organization.

Pros

  • Manages the payroll and general HR needs seamlessly
  • The Wing Community is a great place to check on best practices and advice from other HR teams
  • The amount of information and direction that TriNet manages on our behalf related to annual transition has been fantastic!

Cons

  • As a company owner or admin, the platform can be klunky - and there are a number of different platforms to interact with. It's not always clear where to go for what outside of the main platform (which is pretty good).
  • The help function is OK. Sometimes that articles in response to questions are old. I've gotten in the habit of just going straight to the Help chat instead of the FAQs or articles.
  • Stay within HR compliance
  • Allows employees to remain satisfied with a quick response on HR inquiries
I mentioned earlier in my comments that the main platform that employees interact with is great. There are a number of different platforms, however, and knowing which to use when and which one controls different aspects of the HR needs can be confusing from an admin/company owner perspective. Also, a little disappointed that the company owner role in TriNet doesn't allow for performance review participation.
I have reached out to the support chat line multiple times and always receive a quick and easy-to-understand response. The articles and FAQs are sometimes outdated and hard to follow.

Fantastic for a smaller (or any size really) company that wants to operate in a more lean fashion from an operations perspective, and let someone else manage HR needs. Also, if your company has employees that reside in various states or who work remotely, TriNet is incredibly helpful for that. Also, the diversity of healthcare options based on location is genuinely helpful to us and our staff so that we make sure they have choices.
