UKG Pro Employee and Admin Review
Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro
I used UKG Pro in my last position at a company with 5,000+ employees. We used it for schedule and timecard management, time-off requests, clocking in and out, assigning work areas, tracking employee attendance, and other general schedule and employee tracking related tasks. UKG allowed all of these necessary tasks to be done in one workspace.
Pros
- Timecard tracking and adjustments
- Scheduling
- Employee time-off requests
Cons
- Punch-in and punch-out
- Login system
- Shift requests/cover requests
- Employee attendance tracking
- Federal age related labor compliance tracking
- Ease of manual schedule adjustment as needed
Using UKG Pro allowed my employer company, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, to combine all schedule-related tasks under one program. It is very helpful to be able to adjust both timecards and schedules within the same application, as the two functions often reflect or relate to each other for individual and groups of employees.
During my time as an employee working on the administrative side of UKG, we had a period where our scheduling format changed back and forth a few times in a short period. UKG facilitated the changes on their end, so as long as I knew how to do a few manual adjustments, I did not have to worry about drastically changing my workstyle every time the format switched.
UKG Pro and Paycom are very similar in the base function they are used for, timecards and scheduling. While I have never worked on the administrative side of Paycom, I do feel that the employee/customer facing part of the software was a bit better than UKG. It was easier to view my schedule, who I was working with, if I had breaks, etc. However, UKG had the added feature of being able to request time off and submit availability changes
Do you think UKG Pro delivers good value for the price?
