Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)

Our company uses UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) for onboarding, recruiting, payroll processing, business intelligence, and benefits. We also use UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) for time management. The HR department uses UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) on a daily basis. The payroll department uses it daily as well. The supervisors use it when necessary, but at least weekly. The employees may or may not use it.
The business problems UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) addresses are regarding tax filing, benefit calculation, hiring process, running reports, etc.

I did not select UKG ProUKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro). I was hired during the implementation process. I process payroll. I do not make those types of business decisions. I preferred ADP's Smart Compliance compared to UKG's tax filing service. ADP is the premier payroll company. UKG is less expensive, so you have to realize you get what you pay for.
Sometimes, it takes a long time to run a report, depending on the complexity of the report. At times, when attempting to create a BI report, it will give errors when running it if the parameters that are chosen aren't correct. It is frustrating to start to create a report and then call for assistance and be told UKG is unable to help unless you want to create a custom report.
The support is pretty good when calling into the customer support phone line. The response time when creating tax cases is slow. There are some times when I call that I am able to get an immediate response to solve the issue I called about.

I usually try to find the answer on the Portal before I call because there are times when there is a long hold time when calling in. If it is something I can wait on, I create the case online and wait for a response.
I received exceptional support recently when I called in about processing the 2020 California 1095C reports. Javier Cordera/ACA Benefits Specialist was extremely helpful and walked me through it so I was able to submit the filings in a timely fashion. I spent quite a bit of time trying to follow the directions found on the Learning Center, but they were very confusing. Javier explained the process to me in a user friendly way. He also acknowledged that he had a hard time figuring out the process himself, so that made me feel better about the confusion I had.
I feel like UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro) has a lot of workarounds instead of a seamless system. I have worked with other payroll software companies processing payroll. My biggest complaint is the tax filing services. It has gotten better over time but still needs to improve.
