Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

We use UltiPro across our organization. Full-time salaried employees use it to access their paystubs, direct deposit information, and benefits elections. Part-time hourly employees use it for the same, as well as clocking in and out of shifts. We also use it for recruiting and onboarding new staff. Having one system take care of multiple areas saves us time on the HR end, as it's a seamless process from a new employee's application to the first paycheck.
  • Time & Attendance. Easy to use and provides a great audit trail of any changes made to punches.
  • On Boarding. Seamless integrates with the recruiting portal to get new hires quickly processed and their employment documents verified.
  • Payroll. Fast and efficient. Alterations to past pay dates are so easy, just make the adjustments and UTA figures out the rest.
  • Reporting. Lots of reports available, but I have trouble accessing the data I need. This could be an error on my team's implementation of the software.
  • Pop Ups. Everything opens in a new window. Makes for a cluttered desktop at times. One of the great things about UltiPro is I only need to log in to one system to take care of tasks that used to require me to open 3 or 4 programs at once. Having every thing open into a new window almost defeats the purpose.
  • Consolidating HR administration under a single solution
Absolutely. We've gone from using 4 different programs that did not communicate with each other to one system. Instead of importing date from program to program or manually editing spreadsheets to upload, we now have everything in one place which is a huge time saver.
Better reporting capabilities and having one system instead of using parts of multiple systems in my we made the switch to UltiPro.
UltiPro is great for recruiting. I love the ease of the interface, everything is clean and steamlined and easy to navigate. The homepage of UltiPro leaves a bit to be desired. It's a bit bleak and blank, with users having to go in and customize it themselves. For someone who uses the system daily, it's no big deal. For employees who only log in when they need to view a paystub, I deal with a lot of questions on how to find things.

UltiPro Training

I think it's fairly intuitive but do think that some basic training or a how-to is necessary to get the most out of using UltiPro. If you're just using it as an employee to check paystubs, update contact info and direct deposit, formal training is not necessary.
  • In-person training
  • Self-taught
My in-person training was delivered by another colleague who attended web-based training given by UltiPro. I think it would have been more helpful to attend both training sessions, although my colleague was able to tailor the training to how our company uses the product.

Using UltiPro

100 - Sales, Marketing, Management, as well as hourly part-time staff.
We have no dedicated UltiPro support agents but our IT and HR departments are generally helpful in resolving issues related to UltiPro.
  • Integrated scheduling and payroll.
  • Benefits Enrollment Portal
  • Time & Attendence
  • Recruiting
  • Better reporting
It's working well in the areas we chose it for, such as time and attendance and benefits. There are some issues regarding time and attendance that we continue to monitor as it requires staff to manually review punches carefully.
