Overall Satisfaction with Viewpoint Spectrum

We are an electrical contractor that use Spectrum for all of our business needs from AP, AR, to Payroll, Project Management and Work Orders. We use ADP as our payroll provider for documents like W2 and filing our taxes. We have not made the jump yet to get ADP to calculate our taxes yet but something we are looking into.

  • handles accounts payable in accurate formate
  • works well with security management
  • Reporting of finanicals
  • Better integration with outside software to help with reporting payroll and other areas of the business
  • quicker processing of internal reports and being able to create ad hoc reports without using crystal reports.
  • seems limited in the abilities to help specialty contractor in the unique areas we work in.
  • we are able to accurately report our financials using exports of data to Prophix to help track information
It is not the most easy system to learn when first starting out but once you get into the system you are able to find things easier. I think it could be more defined in certain areas and the fact that some areas are in different modules. IE Change Order REquest in the AR module but it is closer to the job cost relate activity.
We are not apart of the TC One yet but it seems like there is still a lot room to improve based on what we have seen. There needs to be more focus on integrating all apps to talk to each other with everything that the apps do.
Spectrum seems to be a better option for now since current leadership is comfortable with the financial aspect that Spectrum bring but some in the leadership team are not happy with the other offers that Trimble has.

Yes

This is suited for a smaller company that is just getting off the ground. We have issue with locking and blocking all the time with that amount of users we have.

I am not sure if we do have this feature.
Yes - Things are 90% of the time resolved in a timely manner. sometime our more difficult tickets take longer but that is expected.
the first touch with the client take longer than expected with more sensitive items and when we call the person that answers is not able to help us with basic issues we are facing.
