Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

Our company uses Webex App for internal and external meetings, phone calls, and IM chats. We are able to integrate Webex App with Google Calendar, as well as other scheduling apps/plug-ins. This helps us quickly and easily schedule meetings or phone calls with our colleagues or our clients. We use Webex App on a regular daily basis.
  • It's great for accommodating large meetings
  • Easy screen sharing capabilities
  • Integration with other apps and tools
  • Very high CPU usage
  • The orange screen share control panel is very large and cumbersome; it often gets in the way
  • UI isn't the most intuitive
  • Mobile Webex App has a separate app to join meetings, which can be frustrating when trying to join a call from your phone
  • I was not a decision-maker when choosing this product; however, I would say that it has had a positive impact. We are able to set up meetings with ease, and we use the product daily.
I have not contacted support for the Webex App, and I haven't used the help center/forums yet.

Do you think Webex App delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Webex App's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex App live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex App go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex App again?

Yes

For meetings, conferences, lectures, or training sessions, Webex is a great tool. I think the chat function can be advertised better, as I didn't know it was an available feature when I first installed the product. It's a great way to chat with external users, however, it doesn't seem to be as popular or widely known. I think more attention to the messaging feature would be great.
Well-suited scenarios for the Webex App would be company-wide or team-specific meetings that are at least 30 minutes in length. The app is also good for presentations or virtual lectures.

The app is not the most optimized for quick, text-based communications. A platform like Slack is better for instant messaging. I think this is, in part, due to users not knowing or being aware that they can chat via the Webex App.

Additionally, it can be cumbersome to set up quick internal phone calls that only need to be about 10-15 minutes in length.
