Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling

Webex is a great choice for businesses looking for a reliable video conferencing platform, we use it for handling external meetings with suppliers and 3rd parties. The audio and video quality are excellent, the features are comprehensive, and the interface is easy-to-use. We have a lot of meetings with external suppliers and they are not federated for Teams so we use Webex to facilitate this.
  • File sharing is fully supported, along with availability of content sharing extensions.
  • You can also record your calls for record and future referencing.
  • Support for HD video, and audio can be sourced from your phone or computer.
  • Glitches with audio have been experienced for non-Webex users when connecting to audio.
  • Cost is higher in comparison to Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Hard to get working on some corporate devices.
  • Quick and easy setup of meetings.
  • Smooth screen sharing and audio over client or browser which increases collaboration.
  • Browser functionality.
Webex provides quick and easy setup of meetings and calls without any major intervention.
All our devices are running latest versions of Windows so interoperability has not been a problem.
Webex compares pretty well against Teams, however due to the nature of our organisation and data being held within SharePoint/OneDrive. Teams provides a better solution for our internal users.
However for external users as Teams is not federated and locked down, Webex works much better. We can collaborate with users easily without the need of being held down by the shackles or Teams policies.

Do you think Webex Calling delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex Calling's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex Calling live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex Calling go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Calling again?

No

Webex has worked well when conducting meetings with external users in another organisation that is not using Teams. It has the added bonus that Webex can run smoothly within a browser or via client. However, the client install of Webex can be difficult to get running on corporate devices. Mainly due to the fact that it installs into the users AppData folder rather and ProgramData. Which can be blocked due to software restrictions.
