Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling
We use Webex meetings as a substitute for face-to-face meetings. If at least one employee works in a home office, all regular meetings are held via Webex. When we work with external partners, we sometimes also use their booked meeting software. And for larger meetings with all employees, Zoom is used.
- It usually works fine
- Virtual backgrounds available
- Support for features like virtual backgrounds on less advanced systems that are still being used in offices
- UI could be better and more performative
- Can't keep up with other applications in the field
Most settings and management are done in the browser, at least in the configuration we use. This is really suboptimal and unnecessary, but perhaps there are other options. Overall, I found this part of the software particularly weak, anyway.
I have used Zoom before and found the software and user interface much better. It simply seems more modern and less immature. Of course Zoom has bugs and is not perfect software, but from my point of view it is much better than Webex.
