Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used WebEx Meetings for ad box meetings internally as well as external screen sharing presentations. We also consulted other companies on their WebEx use.

Pros and Cons

Simple to use, easy for even the least tech savvy
Recognized brand
Good for companies with larger deployments

Can be expensive and too many deployment options which are confusing
Simple but unspectacular
Other options are easier

Return on Investment

Easy to get behind an industry leader
Simple sales presentations bring in more revenue
Predictable spend in lieu of usage based charges

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Connect, Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting, ON24, Google Hangouts (Classic) and Zoom

Simple and well known, would classify as industry leader but not always as cost effective

Salesforce Lightning Platform (formerly Salesforce App Cloud), Outreach, Slack

Reliability and Availability

I don’t think it’s ever been unavailable when I needed it. It’s pretty predictably safe.

Scalability

Large deployments are their sweet spot. Everyone gets access to their own meeting rooms and there are packages to scale with predictable spend.

It largely works fine, but in my experience there are competitors that work more seamlessly for most users. Sometimes there is a delay when sharing screens, switching presenters can be a pain, and just the general look and feel seems dated compared to newer, slicker options.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for sending invites with meeting details integrated. Simple click to join, and can be customized for specific organizations.
