Overall Satisfaction with WebPT
We use it for our CRM and EMR, meaning that we use it for both patient intake, scheduling, and documentation purposes, as well as for patient communication such as automated emails for checking in, birthdays, and campaigns such as re-activation and review campaigns. These features help us to maintain high placement on search engines and effectively communicate with patients.
Pros
- Patient appt reminders
- Reach system
- Documentation requirements
Cons
- Ease of scheduling
- Ease of creating therapist schedules
- Analytics reports
- Track productivity
- Reduce lost patients
- Re-activate patients
- Get more online reviews
Allowed customizable platforms for documentation for many different specialties and different disciplines, such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy. It also helps us reach new patients by increasing our SEO through more positive reviews left on Google, Facebook, etc., from past patients through Reach's automated review campaign and NPS system.
Inputs requirements for documentation with different insurances and has alerts to complete these requirements to help the therapists know exactly when they need to update the plan of care, do a progress note, or add any necessary modifiers when billing. It also adds reminders for therapy assistants and therapists to bill properly based on the specific insurance's rules.
Prompt EMR Raintree. Neither are as user-friendly or have as many capabilities such as the additional programs tied into it like therabill, Reach, local, marketplace, etc. I also found that WebPT's system, though requiring a lot more data input, makes clerical activities simpler in the long run by making faxing POC's easier and keeping detailed patient records.

Using WebPT
20 - We have a variety of users in our organization including a manager, a clinic director, a billing manager, administrative assistants, rehab technicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physical therapy assistants that all use WebPT for their main software. These positions complete medical documentation, patient registration, medical billing, scheduling, patient care coordination, marketing and more.
We do not have any in house support for WebPT. All support needed for WebPT must go through phone calls or support chats to the WebPT support team.

Evaluating WebPT and Competitors
- Scalability
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
- Other
The system was easily used for multiple disciplines. We have physical, occupation, and speech therapists who specialize in a wide range of diagnosis including neurological conditions which many other EMR systems do not easily support. WebPT makes it easy to schedule and document for a wide variety of appointment types.
If we had to evaluate for a new EMR system again, we would likely need to demo the software for a couple of weeks prior to switching to that system completely to make sure that it fits all of our needs. Customer service is also very important to us so making sure that the support team can respond quickly and effectively would be part of that process.
