Overall Satisfaction with Wistia
We use Wistia across the whole organization, for all of our video content. We do use YouTube, but only for video with social/search value. Most of our video content lives within the Wistia platform, even our internal only videos. We switched from Vimeo so we could get better analytics and also use it as a demand gen tool.
- Email turnstile: capturing email is huge.
- Analytics and data are fantastic.
- Very easy to customize the styling so it looks embedded.
- Would love it to allow the capture of more data on the turnstile.
- More platform integrations: struggled to get the data to Salesforce, had nothing for Pardot or Act-On.
- More flexibility and capabilities in video links.
- Increased the number of leads captured from our website.
- Allowed us to more easily upload, share videos, and get analytics back.
- A/B test videos, plus see what's performing and what's not: drove strategic direction with video content.
Vimeo Pro works well for artistic folks, those on a budget, or those not looking to leverage video for demand gen or lead capture. It served us well for a while, but just wasn't cutting it. Wistia has more on the integrations end than Vimeo, and we have benefitted the most from that aspect. Vidyard has a great platform, and for on-the-fly or demo videos, it might be superior. For produced videos, I like Wistia better. Both have their strengths, and I would consider them both the leaders in the space.
