Overall Satisfaction with Workplace by Facebook
Workplace by Facebook is used by our entire organization. We use it as a communications and collaboration platform to share ideas and brainstorm. It's a great platform for sharing important company news, updates, and events. We also use it for quick polling and surveys to get feedback from employees. It's one of the first things we introduce to new employees so that they can get up to speed.
- It is so easy to introduce to employees because it has the same look and feel as Facebook, which the majority of our employees are already familiar with.
- It's a communications, collaboration, and file/document sharing tool all rolled up into one. It eliminates the need for other software.
- Our HR team uses it constantly to keep employees up to date on company news and for polling to get feedback on new initiatives.
- There's a slight concern over the privacy and security of company and employee information. This concern is increasing with each revelation about Facebook's use of data.
- I am not a fan of the Messenger and Workplace App being separate; just like with regular Facebook. I wish they were combined in the same app.
- Although overall I do find Workplace by Facebook productive, occasionally I find myself losing time by scrolling and clicking too much on company gossip and news.
- It's made it easier to find which employees are assigned to which projects in the company. This used to be a much harder and time consuming task.
- It's nice to get instant access to the status of projects. This has improved accountability and helps with projects getting done faster.
- Overall we've seen an uptick in morale and camaraderie in the workplace since using Workplace by Facebook.
Workplace by Facebook is so much more than just a project management tool like Basecamp or Slack. The ability to disseminate information to employees is easier and better with Workplace by Facebook. It can also be used for informal messaging and sharing of information. It combines the best features of both with the same look and feel as Facebook.
