Overall Satisfaction with Wrike
I work in an organization that provides education to insurance professionals. My work team uses Wrike to manage educational/academic product development, including textbooks, and other course materials. A typical use of Wrike on our team is to manage a project to create and publish a new textbook, or to do a revision on an existing textbook. As with all publishing projects, there are multiple moving parts to manage as the manuscrip is created and transitioned from a draft stage to a finished product.
- The timeline view enables us to schedule project tasks easily so that we can maximize the use of resources in our department
- The daily "todo" e-mail is a good tool to help me jumpstart my work day by reminding me of tasks that have been scheduled.
- The folder list is easy to browse and update.
- I find the built in time tracker awkward to use.
- The timeline does not seem that printer friendly but looks ok displayed on screen
- The dashboard view is confusing for me since there is a lot of information displayed but doesn't seem intuitive
- Better tracking of project deadlines
- Better sharing of information among team members with regards to project status etc.
- Better scheduling of tasks to maximize resources (e.g. the submitting of editorial copy to production department)
Wrike was easier to start using and features were more approachable/intuitive for me than MindJet MindManager. I am more of a linear thinker than a visual thinker, so the feature about making Mindmaps to plan out projects was not intuitive for me. Wrike has a number of different display options for viewing project information so should appeal to a variety of types of thinkers.
