Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

Wrike is being used by our creative and marketing team. We were told to "live in Wrike." in other words, use it for everything... but we only use it to communicate our graphic design requests.

Pros

  • Wrike is searchable.
  • Wrike can be collaborative.
  • Wrike is internet based, so you don't need to be at a certain workstation to access it.

Cons

  • Wrike doesn't synch with Outlook.
  • The Wrike app isn't as useful as I wanted it to be.
  • Wrike could be more visually appealing.
  • Wrike is the bane of my existence.
  • Wrike has added work and not reduced it.
  • Wrike has not helped me at all.
  • Project
Senior managers selected it. I don't think Wrike is a solution for a company like ours. If it were to interface with Outlook calendar, then maybe I would like it better.
Wrike is well suited if everyone on your team has bought in to it, and uses it constantly. But not so much if you still have calendars and other programs to manage in addition.

Hi there, Just wanted to let you know that Wrike actually does integrate with Outlook, it's one of the things my team utilizes the most actually. I found a link here for you in case you are interested: https://www.wrike.com/help/outlook-and-mac-mail-addins/ I use this daily to convert my emails into tasks in Wrike and to utilize both Wrike and Outlook simultaneously without having to copy and paste between windows. You seem to have a really negative view of Wrike based mainly on this Outlook integration, is there anything else you have questions on about Wrike? I am in no way affiliated with Wrike but this program was really instrumental in our team increasing our communication with one another and has proven the most valuable software that we use. I consider myself a bit of a Wrike guru, so let me know if I can help! Also, Wrike may take a little getting used to at first, but the first step in order to really utilize it, is to be open to change and learning new software! It's extremely easy once you get the hang of it and their support staff are the most dedicated and easy going support team I've worked with! They'll even train your team if you want! All the best, Theresa S.

I, personally, love using Wrike. I think it has made us way more efficient in our project management. We found we didn't really need to use external calendars when we made the leap to "live in Wrike". Really, I think the key to finding success with Wrike is having everyone on your team commit to buying into it. When we first started using it, there were a couple people who didn't keep up with their share and it really hindered our entire process. Once we got those people on-board, we took off and never looked back. We searched for a project management solution for a long time, tried out quite a few, and none of them were as helpful as Wrike. Their support staff are very nice and willing to help, which went a long way with us as well.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that Wrike hasn't met your expectations. We'd like to address a few of your concerns, just in case: It sounds like your team wasn't able to fully jump into Wrike — but this is where the power of Wrike lies. As Matt shared, even just one or two people holding out on using Wrike for every work assignment will hamper your entire team's experience with the tool. If you only need an app to communicate design requests — and not to manage, execute, and track all of your creative- and marketing-related tasks — Wrike probably has too many features for your team. If you truly want to get the most out of Wrike, you must rely on the tool to house all your work. Once you live in Wrike, managers gain real-time visibility into work progress, and team members can collaborate on work without juggling separated email threads, file storage tools, and messaging apps. It becomes a one-stop shop, instead of extra work. We do have a calendar integration for Microsoft Outlook Calendar (& Google Calendar), which I hope you will check out. Here are the details: https://www.wrike.com/help/ical-rss/ We also have an Outlook email integration. As Theresa shared, you can read about our email add-ins here: https://www.wrike.com/help/outlook-and-mac-mail-addins/ Our integrations turn your emails into tasks, so you can work on them right from your inbox and automatically sync your changes with Wrike. If you need help setting up simple Wrike processes for your team, please contact us at support@team.wrike.com. We are happy to answer any and all questions to help your team!

I think a very important part of every big project is change management. Wrike is a big deal, so if a decision is taken without letting everyone know about the reasons why it's being made and what goals they want to achieve through it it's going to be difficult for the rest of the team to adopt the project or buy into it (workshop effect: the way I'm doing things works, why should I change it?). Also, as with everything, there is a learning curve and adoption process, if you really explore all the features that Wrike has and try to learn about them you will see how your work will become more transparent, collaborative and (most important) productive, you can't just live in it by buying the product, if that was so we would all be Google. That being said, the Wrike support team is very helpful and insightful to your needs, I'm sure that if you sit down and talk to the Wrike people they'll help you with your adoption process. That's just my opinion though don't take it the wrong way, Wrike has completely changed the way we work for the better and I just think people should give it a try and share the same experience ... nothing but love! Regards,

Hello Mate! In my opinion, you are putting down Wrike being biased with the fact that Outlook Integration is not possible. This doesn't seem to be the right comment as Theresa has already posted an URL with information regarding to this. If you say that Wrike is an useful tool only when everyone is on board, I would say, it's the same case with any software for that matter. You don't want teams partially collaborating on multiple platforms working on a single task. Wrike is always evolving and I absolutely love it! Good Luck!
