Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

Wrike has been an incredibly versatile and efficient tool for task creation and tracking. In my practice, we need specific travelers to track individual groups of material running through a standardized, well establish process. In the past, any deviations from this process or hiccups along the way that require engineering evaluation would be emailed to the respective engineers. If your outlook inbox was not well maintained, it was quite easy to loose track of the status of individual travelers/whether they need engineer eval. With Wrike, it's extremely easy to sort through travelers as tasks in a given project to see which are needing engineering evaluation with the workflow identifiers and all previous tasks will be logged within the project - never forgotten and easy to lookup.

Pros

  • Exemplary UI Customization. Can easily create personal or shared filters within different projects or folders.
  • Wrike allows for each project to have it's own customizable workflow and attributes (known as fields) to allow certain KPIs/metrics to be retained on a given project as needed.
  • The workload tool allows for easy tacking of employee/assignee workload across specific projects and can be altered based on metrics entered into individual tasks as needed.
  • Wrike also has a cross-compatibility feature with Outlook to allow email replies back to comments within a task. These Outlook emails can be filtered by many different attributes as desired.

Cons

  • Wrike reports tool can be useful, but also cumbersome to try and create technical widgets that rely on complex functions. It can be done, but the syntax must be learned which is not always easy to do. It can also often lag when updates are made to a directory the report is pulling data from.
  • Wrike mailbox can become overpopulated and doesn't allow for filtering/folders like Outlook. It's essentially obsolete with proper use of dashboards and other filtering techniques.
  • Wrike has significantly helped on test cycle time reduction from a previous average of 4.5 days to 3.2 days, and time is money.
  • No negative impacts to report.
Have not used any other products like Wrike to compare with.

Do you think Wrike delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Wrike's feature set?

Yes

Did Wrike live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Wrike go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Wrike again?

Yes

Wrike is a great tool when it comes to general process flow logging and management. Any situation where a process can be broken down to individual tasks that need some form of tracking, Wrike is the go to tool. You can create custom workflows for said tasks or even create sub-tasks within major tasks if those sub tasks are prerequisites to a larger task.

Wrike is not a great tool for general storage of knowledge. I would not recommend using Wrike like a data center.
