Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

Wrike essentially functions as a project management tool for us and it's also the best way for us to push materials through an approval process with our compliance team as certain measures dictated by the SEC must be in place for all of our materials. Multiple people work on these materials so it helps everyone have eyes on the document and Wrike documents any changes or communication from other users. Part of our process dictates that the final version of the approved material must be downloaded directly from Wrike so we can be sure it is the correct version of the document. The only negative side is the notifications. There are far too many notifications that come to your email inbox from Wrike and sometimes this can be ineffective, people start to ignore them or get rid of them.

Pros

  • Project Management
  • Approving materials/documents with certain requirements
  • Checklists for procedures

Cons

  • The most frustrating thing is the way Wrike handles notifications. When it come to system notifications if there's too little then you don't get attention to the items, but when its too many its oversaturation and people sort of become blind to them and they carry less weight. That is our issue, we get way too many notifications
  • The interface itself can be slightly difficult to find things, there was an update somewhere along the line where the home screen change and it feels more difficult to find things now.
  • I sometimes wish there was a reply button on comments on tasks so you could easily reply to someone rather than typing a new comment and using the @UserName
  • Wrike has helped us streamline projects and tasks particularly surrounding the creation, editing and evaluating of marketing materials which has helped get marketing campaigns out the door while still trying too adhere to compliance guidelines
  • Wrike has also really helped in the employee onboarding and offboarding process which was a little clunky to begin with and after using Wrike the processes were more streamlined and made us look much more prepared as firm.
  • As I mentioned sometimes the notifications are overkill and people sort of go blind to them so we have had issues before where people missed an important notification which had a dependency and a deadline was almost missed causing some panic around the team.

Do you think Wrike delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Wrike's feature set?

Yes

Did Wrike live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Wrike go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Wrike again?

Yes

Wrike is well suited for a multi person project where a team need to weigh in after different time throughout the project and comments and changes need to be documented. We use it primarily for compliance reasons because there is a lot of documentation that we must keep for the SEC. I also really like the dependencies because certain things can't be done until another person finishes their part of the task so I love how it alerts the next person in the chain when it is time for them to do their part. However, its easy to miss those alerts because of the oversaturation of notifications that Wrike sends.
