Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Phone
We use Zoom Phone for our main switchboard line when people call the seminary and for the Welcome Center and Registrar lines. Several other departments are also beginning to use it. We already used Zoom for meetings, so it's nice to have two functions in one program.
Pros
- Transferring calls
- Caller ID
- You can see who is taking each call
Cons
- We needed to link each of our team members' personal emails to the Zoom account so we have to filter VM notifications out of our personal accounts.
- It'd be nice if you could set business hours through the webpage to include a lunch break so that you don't have to manually go in to edit.
- We're better able to work together as a team answering phones multiple people can be logged in to answer at the same time.
- The voicemail transcription feature helps with sharing messages to different departments.
- Overall, we're able to answer more calls and have fewer callers being sent to voicemail.
Zoom Phone has more features that allow our team to work cohesively. We can have all of our team logged in to all of the phone lines we manage, instead of one person on each line at a time. This way, one person is able take calls from whichever line as they come in rather than, only being able to log into one line at a time. Transcribed voicemails and caller ID can help with connecting callers to other departments. We can also keep record of which calls each of our team members have taken.
