Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
We use it for all internal and external video calls and the Team Chat feature for all internal chat communication. Some key users have used Zoom Whiteboard for brainstorming during video calls. Before moving to Zoom, we had at least four different products covering one or more of those functions. Now, moving to Zoom, we've drastically simplified internal communication.
Pros
- It is easy to log in to Zoom video calls in various ways (phone, computer, audio, internal or external).
- Organization of Team Chats, with Channels and personal chats, is easy to find, and the threaded chats also help.
- Many, many settings for our org account.
Cons
- Continued issues with Outlook integration.
- Almost too many settings, hard to find what you need as an admin.
- Meeting Chats section of Team Chat can be confusing for users.
- Definitely improved collaboration.
- Some small cost savings by removing 3 other apps and replacing with Zoom.
- Better customer experience because many people have experience with Zoom, making our external-facing calls go smoother.
While Slack is nice, I wanted a more all-in-one solution. We almost went with Teams, as we are Microsoft Office users, but it was too clunky and error-prone, and we were concerned our users wouldn't be able to learn and use it well. User adoption was a top concern, so we prioritized ease of use, and Zoom won out.
