Likelihood to Recommend I do think it is well worth the cost and consideration, especially if you are using it on devices containing electronic medical records, personal health information or personal privacy information or devices that contain proprietary information, critical business information or other information that needs to be securely protected. It can also be used to track a device (individual) as well if that is your goal. We use it as an extra precaution to track our mental health clinicians that do home visits. It allows us to keep track of their whereabouts, in case an issue arises at a client's home. We are able to send someone out to check or assist, alert emergency services or send law enforcement if a situation should arise.

However TeamViewer is less ideal for when you have limited bandwidth. If someone needs a solid remote support tool the works across devices, it's an easy yes, but it's not the do-everything solution.
Read full review Pros I tracked a stolen computer all the way to Africa from USA and disabled it. I set up geofences with alerts. As soon as a computer got a wifi connection outside of our fences it would email me its current location. Absolute's persistent technology was helpful. -Even when a pawn shop would attempt to "wipe" a device before getting it online, as soon as it got online it notified me of the OS re-installation and current location. We could call authorities and they could recover the device for us. And they were happy it made their job easier and deterred the pawn shop from reselling stolen devices. Read full review We are very happy about the TeamViewer functionality and recognize a lot of advanced functionality in comparison with Anydesk for example. It's fast and very reliable. We think that TeamViewer is a very secure platform. We like to use new feature and functions when they get available. With TeamViewer we can do any DIAMES updates remotely - secured, any time and immediately TeamViewer helps us to save precious resources on our side to provide excellent services to our customers - wherever they are located. We can minimise the cost drastically when serving customers with many production plants on different locations worldwide distributed. Read full review Likelihood to Renew We need this tool in our day to day business. It is what we do all day remoting into clients devices. In this day and age we can access devices all over the world as long as we have secure internet connection. It certainly saves money in gas, and even if you are away you can help.

ConnectWise Control ), TeamViewer is harder to set up and get connected. It is especially difficult to set up "permanent" unattended remote access, where you want to be able to connect to and control a remote computer without having to exchange codes and passwords every time you connect.

Read full review Support Rating the few times i have had to contact teamviewer support, they were very responsive and give me quick answers and seemed to understand my problems quickly and easily. I did not have to sit on the phone for hours on hold or get passed around to multiple phone support techs before finding a solution to my issues, so i would rate their support very highly.
Read full review In-Person Training As expected without any problem! Alternate in-person training is another efficient way to learn how a product works. There are many third party supporters for TeamViewer courses available that can give additional ideas how to use TeamViewer for specific functions and features as we did require in respect of our usage.

I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Quickly, the travel cost reduction and increased productivity overcame the initial investment cost. However, it wouldn't work until everyone understood the software features, and success was contingent upon the complete training of all team members.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I have only used Absolute Data and Device Security (DDS). It was recommended by my Dell sales rep. After reviewing the product info, and loading a demo, it became clear that this is what was needed to add to our existing security to protect us from information loss due to a data breach on our portable devices. I presented this solution to the appropriate departments, and they agreed that this was something well worth the investment.

Pulseway 's remote desktop can work well on the phone app but on a desktop, it is often unreliable and drops connections.
AnyDesk is not appropriate for our business and is only good on a case-by-case basis.

After recovering a few devices and students becoming aware of Absolute being deployed, it had a prevention effect deterring additional theft. It deterred pawn shops from accepting our stolen machines. Read full review it was pretty much instantly.
Limits travel to remote locations or from remote employees by being able to manage and troubleshoot remote computers without having to have hands on the machines physically. It limits the need for shipping machines for testing or troubleshooting and lets us focus on sending and receiving the parts needed only. Increasing the ability to remotely manage retail locations so that each one doesn't need an IT person on staff with 9 locations is a tremendous cost savings to the organization.
