Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

Setting up new machines for our clients and organisation is straight forward and easy, even for someone with little experience in the area. The process remains the same regardless of what device or version we install it on and the TeamViewer ID also remains the same (based on hardware) regardless of how many times it is updated or removed and re-installed.
TeamViewer allows us to connect to and control remote computers and devices. We look after unmanned fuel stations and being able to monitor and connect to the machines and servers quickly is sometimes mission critical. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for users on site and our clients is our core business. TeamViewer allows us to do this securely and efficiently.

Pros

  • Quick and responsive control of sites, even ones with slow connections.
  • Accurate machine status despite sometimes flaky connections.
  • Sending commands to machines.
  • Adjusting view preferences.

Cons

  • Better user support when making requests.
  • TeamViewer signing out unexpectedly.
  • Display timeout period after connections have aborted frequently due to bad or slow internet.
  • Allow for disabling of pop ups and prompts i.e update prompts or review requests.
  • The core of our business is providing remote IT support to unmanned stations. Without a program like TeamViewer, we would be unable to operate.
  • On numerous occasions, we have avoided having to travel to site on top as well as raise a callout with local agents, saving us many thousands.
  • We can work from home or support our service technicians on the field any place, any time.
Almost immediately. We could not support our clients effectively without TeamViewer. Its reliable, fast and allows us to do our work in a moments notice.
Horses for courses they say but all around, TeamViewer is the best software for remote management, period. Pulseway's remote desktop can work well on the phone app but on a desktop, it is often unreliable and drops connections. AnyDesk is not appropriate for our business and is only good on a case-by-case basis.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

The 2 factor authentication has worked well for us as we are all equipped with multiple devices and or connect from different networks i.e. from home and at work, or a customer/clients internet. We are able to ensure that the connection is genuine and control any potential security issues when working on vulnerable machines or from public networks.
Great for managing multiple machines in tandem and for quick connection and responsive control of computers located in remote areas where net speed is an issue. Transferring files from one device to another is quick and reliable 80% of the time. Sometimes when connecting to a site with a slow connection, the screen will be blank / black and a restart of the TeamViewer service or machine seems to be the only solution.

TeamViewer Security and Support

Although I didn’t purchase the premium support package, my overall experience with TeamViewer’s support team has been positive. Their online resources, including the knowledge base and community forums, are comprehensive and have helped me resolve most issues independently.
On the few occasions when I reached out for assistance, the response was prompt and professional, even without premium support.

While basic support has been sufficient for my needs, I can imagine that having access to dedicated premium support might be beneficial for more complex or time-sensitive situations. That said, the general reliability and ease of use of the platform have minimised the need for frequent support in my case.
We rely on TeamViewer’s compliance with PCI standards and its ability to pass penetration testing evaluations. These compliance measures instill confidence that TeamViewer meets industry benchmarks for secure remote operations, which is particularly important for maintaining trust with stakeholders.

We record critical sessions for auditing purposes to track changes and review activities. This fosters transparency and accountability while providing a reliable audit trail for compliance and troubleshooting purposes.

TeamViewer’s AES-256-bit encryption ensures all sessions remain secure from unauthorised interception. Encryption has been critical for maintaining PCI compliance during remote support of payment systems and adhering to stringent data protection standards.

We’ve implemented 2FA for all TeamViewer accounts, ensuring that only authorised users can access remote systems.
We customise permissions on a per-user or per-device basis, granting only the necessary access levels to individuals.

These features have significantly improved our organisation’s perception of security and allow us to confidently manage remote systems without worrying about data breaches or non-compliance with industry standards which reassures both internal teams and external clients that our IT practices are secure and professional.
Yes, I would purchase TeamViewer again and recommend it to others. Its robust security features, reliable performance, and ease of use make it an excellent choice for remote access and support. While it’s on the pricier side, the value it provides in terms of functionality and security justifies the investment, especially for businesses with critical systems to manage.
