Webex Meetings

Webex Meetings is a great collaboration tool and works really well for adhoc and scheduled meetings. The One Button to Push approach to joining a meeting is also great. The integration for room-based systems and the way it can use facial recognition to recognize attendees in a meeting is also really useful. The features like breakout rooms are also great and the flexibility of setting these up is also something that is key, so you can predefine how you want them done and who is in which room or randomly allocate people. This just adds a really great dimension to an event that allows a smaller focused discussion to happen away from the main meeting.

Pros

Abstract

  • Versioning for desginers
  • Collaboration between team members

Webex Meetings

  • It has great tools like Breakout sessions, whiteboards, virtual backgrounds, options to share and control other devices, annotate and others etc.
  • It has monthly updates that bring new features and options for users to have the best experience possible for collaboration. Cisco shows they are working hard to make this solution better update by update and they listen to the end user's requests, which is a big plus.
  • Security, as far as I know, is top of the market. Cisco Webex Suite is the leading product for collaboration in the security department and in today's world security is more important than ever.

Cons

Abstract

  • Asset exports are not as great as Zeplin and others.
  • Filtering within files.

Webex Meetings

  • Slow down feature releases, at least until fully ready (i.e. "New" Events)
  • Along the same lines, please avoid constant 'delayed' feature releases (if not fully ready for that month's release, maybe hold it for the following month's release?)
  • Offer more pre-recorded training options via the new 'golearn.webex.com' LMS site

Cisco Webex Meetings is a platform that consistently performs well and outperforms some of the other solutions that we have used, such as Zoom. It is user friendly and helps our organization accomplish the goal of connecting with external contacts to conduct meetings and share information

Abstract has a difficult learning curve. If a feature-branch workflow is new to you, then it will take some getting used to. They make a lot of updates to the interface and these feature releases get ahead of their documentation. They rely heavily on an excellent customer support team and are present on various Slack channels to help design professionals with issues.

Cisco Webex Meetings is a really easy-to-use solution. Cisco has a mentality linked to joining meetings: one button to push. There is always the same big green button that appears everywhere—on invitation emails, in the calendar, on videoconferencing devices, on the application in our phones and tablets. One button and the meeting is started. Anyone can start a meeting. The solution is therefore minimally demanding for IT teams, and even easy to set up and support for smaller environments where there simply isn't an IT team.

The availability of Webex Meetings is very fine according to me. The servers are constant with no breakdowns. As, a result of which, calls and meetings can happen seamlessly without any problem. Also, if any user faces an internet outage in the middle of a call, he/she will get connected automatically when the outage will be over.

Cisco Webex Meetings' native app for Windows 10 OS consumes a lot of computer resources in terms of RAM usage and CPU usage, which makes it slower on your computer. It integrates with multiple applications and software and it does not tend to slow any software of application at all

Abstract by nature is complex and has to respond to whatever changes in Sketch. So there are frequent issues. Support can be slow to respond and are not always helpful, but they are quick to find and patch the bugs. Overall, it's not the best support, but it hasn't been detrimental.

The response time is very fast via email. Most of the time, they also follow-up with a call but I usually need my questions answered via email.I think their support emails are bit bland and impersonal. They may think it's a good idea to list all applicable managers in their emails but that's not really all the important to me. In fact seeing so many people listed makes me wonder if I'd have to contact someone else to get my question answered or problem resolved.

That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

Webex Meetings

Webex is a more mature product with integrations with Messaging and Calling all within the same suite of services. The audio and video call quality are top-notch. The Control Hub admin portal is user-friendly and comprehensive in terms of capabilities. The new training resources through GoLearn for new admins and end-users is really well done.

It has scaled without any problems, anyone in the organization and departments can use Cisco Webex Meetings easily. It helps us to provide regular communication between our customers and us.It is a very flexible and scalable software. In my organization all the employees are using the Cisco Webex Meetings with their own link of meeting[s] to connect with the team members. A really much needed product by CISCO.
