Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

The tool has come to innovate and improve internal communication and communication with customers. Previously we had a free tool but communication was cut off after a few minutes. Alternatives were evaluated and we requested demonstrations from our closest and most trusted provider to use Webex. The installation is very easy to perform, it does not require much capacity in laptops and it does not consume much resources. Our clients have liked the tool, they can schedule in their calendar and they can choose whether to connect from a laptop, smartphone or tablet. When running the application through a web browser, you only have to install a plugin for the first time and then the other connections are instantaneous. Presentation mode is very effective, remote desktop and provide assistance. Without a doubt, our staff was satisfied with the product, it improves communication with clients and it is a lot of fun.

Basically the infrastructure was not configured to support home office, several adjustments had to be made at the level of firewall, vpn, creation of remote users, providing access. It took a couple of days to get it done but it worked, now every new call center campaign that comes out has the option to work both on site and at home.

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
Currently the company is in a hybrid way, there are little spaces that are connected to the meraki network to provide an excellent user experience, additionally the guest portal is used for clients. Additionally, Cisco switches have been installed for the core, distribution and access part, with this model the information travels in a better way, providing quality in the services that are shared with customers.

In many meetings with clients, the webex tool is used, which facilitates the presentation with connected users. There is a select group of the company that does its activities through Cisco AnyConnect, this provides an additional layer of security.

Cisco Webex Experience

Webex has been a very useful tool for many years, it is important to highlight that it is a leading tool in the market that facilitates many tasks and interaction between users when joining a virtual meeting. Many times we do not have time to write down what is pending, but Webex generates with its AI a summary of the most important points of the meetings, so there is no need to worry about losing valuable information mentioned.Every week we have follow-up meetings, therefore it is important to keep notes and be able to discuss the progress and the next steps that have to be taken so as not to waste time repeating objectives or things that were already discussed before.
We have used Cisco Jabber to have calls, messages with team members. It is very useful and portable, we can connect from anywhere to have our daily, weekly and monthly calls. I highly recommend these collaboration tools because they are very helpful when taking notes and making calls, presentations, etc.

Because Webex Meetings is known for its consistent performance, with high quality audio and video that works well even in low bandwidth situations. This makes it a dependable tool for both small and large meetings without worrying about technical glitches. Also, the platform is easy to navigate, both for meeting hosts and participants. Features like screen sharing, chat, and breakout rooms are intuitive.

Evaluating Webex Meetings and Competitors

Yes - Webex Meetings is often the better option when the focus is on high quality, large scale video conferencing and advanced meeting features. It excels in reliability, scalability, and security, especially in industries or environments that require seamless virtual meetings. Microsoft Teams, on the other hand, is best suited for organizations looking for broad collaboration tools integrated into one platform.
  • Ease of Use
The most important factor in the decision to purchase Webex Meetings for many organizations is typically the high quality video and audio experience, especially for professional meetings. Reliable communication is essential for effective collaboration, and Webex’s reputation for providing clear, consistent video and audio even in low bandwidth environments can be a major selling point. This reliability is particularly critical for businesses that depend on smooth virtual interactions, whether for internal team meetings, client consultations, or large webinars. Having a platform that minimizes disruptions and enhances communication can significantly impact productivity and user satisfaction.
I would expand the evaluation process to incorporate deeper testing, better integration checks, and a more thorough review of long term costs and security. Ensuring alignment between platform features and organizational needs is key, and making the decision more data driven helps avoid surprises down the road on the future.

Webex Meetings Implementation

Cisco Webex typically provides a solid onboarding process, with helpful training resources and implementation guides that make it easier for teams to get started. For most users, the platform can be set up without major issues, especially if they follow the recommended implementation steps. Additionally, premium support options are available for organizations that need more personalized or urgent assistance.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - Introducing a new collaboration tool like Webex Meetings often requires a shift in how employees communicate and collaborate. The Change Management helps ensure smooth user adoption by addressing any resistance to change and encouraging employees to embrace Webex. Also, the training, communication, and engagement with users are crucial to ensure that people are comfortable with the platform and its features, like scheduling meetings, using breakout rooms, or screen sharing.
  • Training Gaps
  • Resistance to Change
  • Varying Skill Levels
  • Network Connectivity

Webex Meetings Training

  • Online Training
  • In-Person Training
  • No Training
In-person training offers the benefit of personalized instruction. Users have the chance to ask specific questions and work through any challenges directly with an instructor. This hands-on learning style can be incredibly valuable for those who learn better through interaction. With in-person training, participants can receive instant feedback and troubleshooting assistance for any technical issues they encounter during the session. This makes it easier to resolve issues on the spot rather than waiting for online support.
The platform offers interactive training sessions and webinars, where users can actively participate and ask questions. These live sessions often give users a chance to engage with experts, making the learning process more dynamic. Webex provides a wide range of online resources including videos, user guides, tutorials, and FAQs. These resources cover everything from basic features to more advanced functionality, making it easy for users to find what they need.
We got other locations that could not have a online or in-person training, but we elaborated a summary with the previous information and experiencies to share with them. For basic use, Cisco Webex Meetings is easy to learn without formal training, but for advanced features and seamless integration into your company’s workflow, formal training or at least some self-guided learning may be beneficial.

Configuring Webex Meetings

Webex Meetings allows users to customize certain aspects of the interface, such as the meeting layout, branding, and backgrounds. You can upload your organization's logo, adjust the theme colors, and set up custom registration forms for events or webinars. Also, you can make your Webex environment feel more aligned with your company's identity through custom branding options, especially for larger teams or organizations. It was very friendly for the users, so it's just right.
Ensuring your meetings are secure should be a top priority, especially for sensitive or business-critical sessions, like: enable passwords for meetings, use waiting rooms, lock the meeting, require authentication for sensitive meetings, mute participants on entry, etc. By following these best practices for configuring Webex Meetings, you can ensure a secure, efficient, and well organized meeting experience for all participants. Tailor the settings to your specific needs, take full advantage of the platform’s features, and periodically review your configurations to optimize your usage.
Some - we have done small customizations to the interface - Webex Meetings allows basic user interface customization like changing meeting themes, applying logos, and customizing backgrounds. You can change the color scheme, branding, and logos to align with your company's identity. These changes can be made through the Webex site administration panel, making it fairly simple for administrators. For most users, these options are easy to configure with point-and-click options and drag-and-drop functionality, especially for adding logos or backgrounds.
Some - we have added small pieces of custom code - Webex Meetings allows a high degree of customization through APIs, SDKs, and integration tools for those who need to embed, automate, or extend the platform’s capabilities. However, for the average user or organization, the need for adding custom code is generally limited to more complex use cases like system integrations or embedding Webex into internal applications.
There are many ways to configure and customize Webex Meetings to fit your organization’s needs, from security settings and branding to integrations and advanced features like breakout rooms and custom reporting. For teams that rely heavily on Webex for communication, leveraging these configurations can create a more tailored and efficient experience.

Webex Meetings Support

If I had to rate the overall support for Webex Meetings, I would give it a solid 9/10. Webex generally provides robust support options, including 24/7 customer service, detailed online documentation, community forums, and troubleshooting resources. The platform is also known for offering dedicated support for enterprise clients, which can be extremely valuable in ensuring a seamless meeting experience. The only reason it doesn't get a perfect 10 is because some users have noted that support response times can vary, especially during peak periods, or if you need very specific technical assistance.

The Marketing Manager was about to host a high stakes product webinar with hundreds of registered participants. The marketing team was prepared for the event, which includes live demos, Q&A sessions, and an interactive panel discussion. Just 30 minutes before the webinar begins, the marketing manager experienced an issue: the screen-sharing feature was not working properly. The screen appeared black to all participants, and the audio quality was intermittent. The manager was already under pressure, as this was a crucial event for driving product sales, and there was no time to reschedule or fix the issue on their own. There was a live session with support team and the error was fixed. The webinar kicked off without further issues. Thanks to the Webex support team’s fast and expert assistance, the Marketing Manager was able to host a flawless presentation, engaging with the audience, demonstrating the product, and hosting the Q&A smoothly.
