If you have a rather large budget and/or several clients to take advantage of the AMC, you would likely benefit from its all-in-one solutions. There are a myriad of excellent tools for digital marketing professionals to take advantage of within the suite, and creating a campaign becomes much more manageable for collaboration and execution through to reporting thanks to the suite's vertically integrated nature.

  • If we already have a list of subscribers to whom we want to send private newsletters about certain updates in our products and services, it is very easy to import them into the platform through text document formats, or directly from cloud platforms that have allowed us to save their information
  • It integrates very well with platforms oriented to the development of help desk operations, as in the case of Zendesk, where we store all the information of the customers that communicate with us to improve their user experience through technical assistance, and to have a better feedback with them.
  • Adobe Campaign allows us to create our own forms that can be added to the company's page, so that depending on the type of potential customer that is accessing them, we can show personalized information that is of interest to them as customers, and thus ensure more business.

  • Content Analysis - Between the Pages report and the participation metrics which show what percentage of conversions a page was involved with, you get an excellent analysis of what content is important and effective, and what is not. With the ability to add up to ten metrics side by side, drill downs, and power tools like Ad Hoc Analysis, you will know exactly where you need better content.
  • Pathing - Adobe Analytics captures every single path of every single visit of every single visitor and puts it at your fingertips. There are tools to aggregate common paths so you find out how frequent they are, lots of good page flow reports, and tools to pick out specific paths that will keep you from being overwhelmed. This has been absolutely invaluable to us as we have learned about how our customers are using our sites and which paths are leading to exits rather than converions.
  • Customization - There are so many custom metrics and dimensions you can add and you can create segments based on all of them, along with the out of the box metrics and dimensions. You truly get an implementation that is specific to your company, your needs, your strategy, and your site.

Once you go for Neolane you are a bit stuck with it, so we will most likely stay with Neolane. Cost of investment and training are the main factors at work here. We havesimply have invested too much in the product to stop using it after 2 years.That said, my score of 8 does not imply that the product is worthy of getting an 8 but reflects our willingness to renew.Given that upgrading to a new version will cost again a substantial sum, we most likely will keep using the current version we are on which is 6X.

Although a powerful tool, Google Analytics has been catching up in capabilities and is much simpler to use.As analytics move to the spotlight, more sections in a company want to have access to it. However, creating straightforward reports/dashboards and sharing them with different groups is not a strength of Adobe Marketing Cloud.

It does the job. The tool itself is not the problem. You need to have a person with a strong marketing technology background to fully drive and maximise its capabilities. That person will largely drive the productivity and efficiency of this tool in the same way that a fast racing car is dependent on its driver and the rest of the mechanics that ensure that it performs at its peak levels. If the marketing leader cannot articulate its business needs from a technology innovation requirements perspective, then they may get frustrated with the tool. In the three years that I have managed it, the methodology (e.g. user enablement, technical support and digital innovation) that I implemented to use this tool helped the enterprise meet the company's business requirements. Any enterprise organisation should be ready to invest MORE money on digital transformation initiatives to customise AC according to meet its business needs.

As earlier stated, it is really about the customizability. We used and still do use the other platforms mentioned. But our clients on Adobe Campaign needed a more sophisticated solution. We would be able to achieve the same outcomes on a different tool, but the difference is they would require much more regular and manual attention.
