Vidyard is an enterprise video platform built to turn viewers into customers with in-depth insights and robust integrations with different customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation platforms.
Honestly, I chose Vidyard because my influencer contacts in my network recommended it and it was at the time at least integrated with LinkedIn. I really hope you can somehow continue the integration with LinkedIn as that was very helpful and a big factor in me deciding to use …
Best suited for contact discovery on LinkedIn or for that matter any website, but it works best on LinkedIn. It saves tons of work, you can simply select the complete list of people you want to contact and put them directly into an email sequence. It is a little difficult to find contact info on other websites.
Vidyard has been critical for our team in many ways. One way that we didn't realize how much we'd be using it is for training new teammates while we're all working remotely. I frequently use the chrome extension to record a video of how to do something to send to our whole team or certain teammates. There are other products that do that, but this seems to be the most efficient, easiest, and quickest. Vidyard is incredibly useful for both inbound, and outbound sales and marketing strategies. It helps us increase our open and click rate for emails and overall engagement for our customer journey.
Their customer service is just terrible. You get an assigned account manager but 9/10 times they wouldn't know what you wanted and/or how the product works or how to fix it. Vast majority of the time it was a canned response that made you question if they read the message, or if they read it and did not understand a word.
The software was relatively buggy and lacked features that were promised upon signup. They seem to have some large corporate clients and if you aren't one none of your bug submissions, feature requests, or concerns will be addressed.
Their growing quickly so they seem to be very understaffed which I believe caused many of the issues above.
The data, while good, can quickly run out if you're looking for specific types of leads. If you're looking for something generic like Managers at companies between 10-5000 people, you can pull leads all day every day. However if you're looking for a specific industry, specific title, and specific location - don't count on having an endless supply of leads (or even really enough to use month after month).
It has been an integral part of both our employees and customers experience. I would highly recommend VidYard to anyone looking for new ways to make their support interactions more personable and efficient. Not only that, but is a huge value add for existing customers of the HubSpot product as well.
Vidyard is super easy for new people to pick up - I've never had to spend time explaining the UI or menu, which is a testament so how easy it is. The plugin also makes it quite user-friendly. There's no need to go anywhere else - it's all on the browser.
It performs very well. I have never had any bugs while recording, and none of the videos have been impaired or corrupted. I don't believe it integrates with any other software but you could contact the company to learn more. I am not sure if it is only available on Chrome.
I received excellent support at any time I opened up a ticket. But I would add to it that the tool was very self-explanatory, so there wasn't much need for support. With Outreach, we have a closer relationship with our CSM because of the intricacy in things like SFDC task mapping.
Customer support at Vidyard has always been good. When I first looked into the product, the salesperson took a consultative approach that allowed me to see how Vidyard would benefit our specific use case. Since coming on board, the customer service team has been quick to respond if I have any questions.
It's pretty straightforward. The bulk of the work goes on outside of Vidyard - it's the time required to add different videos to your website - that was probably the only difficult part and had nothing to do with Vidyard.
I have also looked into and tried Hunter.io and Lusha, and to be honest, I shouldn't compare them with Apollo. I have found Apollo to be so easy to integrate and use with all of my prospecting that I haven't really even tried out the other two. I bet I could find some useful things by using Hunter.io or Lusha as well, but there is honestly no need since I can do everything I want and more with Apollo. I would just be wasting time trying to figure out another platform when I can be focused on growing my own business with Apollo.
I've never evaluated another product like Vidyard. I just used screen recordings with RingCentral before, and I remember the file size being very large and having to add the video as an attachment. So this was a major improvement to be able to shoot videos and easily share with my clients.
We save hundreds of dollars a month because we don't have to send out nearly as many physical samples for customers to review. We can send them a video that shows off the product and they love it!
We have improved conversion rates as a result of using Vidyard to communicate with new leads.
Our sales reps are clearly more engaged in the sales process. Each week we discuss how Vidyard helped them win a deal.
