Cloud 9 states they have successfully deployed their cloud-based practice management software at more than 1,500 locations, and currently connects almost 15,000 individual users from…

Chose Cloud 9 Software
Other software tend to be less stable, and are not mobile friendly like Cloud 9
Focus orthodontic software has a lot of similarities. Now that Cloud 9 purchased the Focus Orthodontics software they have made some changes, but both are really well organized. Easy to navigate through. I enjoy Cloud 9 the most. I continue to learn new features with the …
We like the speed of Cloud 9 and ability to access it at all 3 locations simultaneously. We had OrthoTrac previously, and we love the Cloud base system with no nightly back ups. This software is so user friendly, and the Cloud 9 training and support teams are nothing short of …
OrthoTrac for us became very slow and it became complicated with our fact paced office. We selected Cloud 9 [Software] due to it being web based and it runs very smoothly for our practice.
The non-server version of Ortho2 we were already using would have cost a significant amount to merge our three separate office databases. Cloud 9 already had parameters set to be able to do this. All of our documents and images transferred over with just minor issues- like …
Cloud 9 is a million times better than OrthoTrac. The number one being that it is soooo much faster! Cloud-based so you can use it anywhere. During the Covid shutdown, we wouldn’t have been able to see any patient information if we would still have our old system unless …
Dentrix seemed to be the best fit when we were small and only three practices. But now we are looking into other options like tab 32, the cloud-based system. We are looking into Dentrix Ascend because it is cloud-based and we are about to run out of space on our server. I think …
I used Patterson's Eaglesoft in a limited capacity at a previous health center job. On the back end, Eaglesoft was easier to setup, install, and manage than Dentrix. Backing up data files, migrating servers, was easier (but slower) on Eaglesoft than on Dentrix. Dentrix …
I love that the software is cloud based. Features are constantly being added and updated which I love. It is intuitive, especially for younger users who are familiar with using the internet/ computers. Scheduling and treatment planning is simple. Very easy to use and to …
I have previously used Eaglesoft and Easy Dental. I have found Dentrix to be very comparable to Eaglesoft, and myself and my team feel that it is relatively essay to use and seems to have a low learning curve for new members added to the team, at least in my experience.
We have worked with both Epic's Wisdom module and Dentrix independently. For us, Epic's platform was beneficial from an IT support standpoint as all other practices/specialties use Epic. Our dentists chose to use the Dentrix platform over Epic's due to specific functionality …
Unlike Cloud-based products, this is nice because it has the ability to have a back up in multiple locations; on and off-site. Sometimes, based on your computer stats, it can start to run slowly until the cache is cleared or old x-rays are deleted. This is avoided in a …
Excellent for orthodontic practices. We have 3 locations, and this software works well for us! We are able to access patient info quickly and simultaneously no matter which location we are at. The support staff is just a click away online. We switched from OrthoTrac and love the Cloud based software with no nightly back ups and ease of using the software from checking in with just a click to scheduling in just one easy step! Chris and the team were amazing in getting us changed over, and the support team is always available for any questions along the way!
[Dentrix is] well suited for a busy practice like my own. Does require a significant up front investment. It was already in place when I purchased the practice from the previous owner. May not be suited for a smaller practice that would not find value in the upfront costs associated with it.
Easy to look up, edit, delete, break and make appointments. This is great when you're on the phone with someone and are able to quickly locate them in the system and see what appointments they have.
Easily make changes to providers information, colors or schedules. This is nice because we tend to have fill in hygienists and we can change their colors so it will not indicate the same colors as are our normal staff.
Easily print reports and deposits from the office manager. This helps us keep track of new patients, aging reports, unscheduled appointments, unscheduled treatment, continuing care appointments and so much more.
I have spoken to several support members along the way, and everyone is super helpful and exited to find a solution. Everyone is courtesy and patient. I had a problem that I could not figure out on my own and just with my description, I was given clear step by step instructions to get it solved!
We have used Dentrix support and they seem to be helpful. We are able to schedule meetings as needed within a short time frame, and are usually able to resolve any issues we may have within 1 or 2 calls. There doesn't seem to be as strong of a user community around Dentrix as there is with Epic.
Focus orthodontic software has a lot of similarities. Now that Cloud 9 purchased the Focus Orthodontics software they have made some changes, but both are really well organized. Easy to navigate through. I enjoy Cloud 9 the most. I continue to learn new features with the software. I look forward to all the updates.
I used Patterson's EagleSoft in a limited capacity at a previous health center job. On the back end, EagleSoft was easier to setup, install, and manage than Dentrix. Backing up data files, migrating servers, was easier (but slower) on EagleSoft than on Dentrix. Dentrix appears to have a greater feature capability/set than EagleSoft does. Both have excellent technical support that is responsive, indepth, and well suited to address IT related problems with both EMR systems.
