Considered Both Products
Dotloop
Chose Dotloop
After using a competitive program, Dotloop exceeded above and beyond. Dotloop provides the best contract management program out there and really steals the show with its ease of use and support systems.
Chose Dotloop
I personally feel that Dotloop is much more organized and easier to use. It feels more efficient to use and I have noticed the majority of the people I work with are more aware of Dotloop and trust it more.
Chose Dotloop
Dotloop is easier to use, and it doesn't attempt to force you to just sign something without reading it through.
Chose Dotloop
We chose Dotloop because of how user friendly and customizable the software is. Our office is ever evolving and we needed a software that can grow with us as we advance and change the way we do things. Other software we tried was limited in this and didn't allow for minor …
Chose Dotloop
For real estate transactions, Dotloop wins hands down. HelloSign is good for general document signing purposes, but nothing beats Dotloop and it's ease of use when it comes to real estate transactions with multiple parties involved. We started out with HelloSign but quickly …
Yardi Voyager
Chose Yardi Voyager
Prior to switching to Yardi Voyager, our company was self-hosted on the PropertySuite platform with MRI Software. In viewing demos and meeting with vendors, we felt that Yardi's capabilities and ease of integrations across our other software products was a real deal breaker. We …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Both products have pros and cons, similar to the comment shared previously YARDI provides additional items as part of the base license - versus many items in the Realpage suite requires additional license (e.g. cost) to optimize use. If what is included in a YARDI Voyager …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Onesite was broken, a lot. Yardi Voyager has been a much more stable platform. We have been operational for 3 years now and I cannot say that we have had any software downtime in 3 Years. But with Onesite, it was common to be down at least once a month for something that was …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Yardi is more user-friendly, dynamic, and comprehensive than other similar products in the real estate space. While there is some ramp-up time to learn the system, Yardi is pretty intuitive and literal, which removes much of the confusion that other systems offer. Voyager also …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Yardi is more robust than the competition. There is a steeper learning curve, but more features and customization that can be built into the product.
Chose Yardi Voyager
Voyager competes quite nicely in terms of features and price with MRI. In retrospect, MRI has a much more flexible reporting module and allows direct access to your data in a much easier fashion.
Chose Yardi Voyager
While the likes of some other CRMs may be a bit more diverse and robust in their inbuilt integrations and available bolt on's, I feel Yardi is a great, fairly flexible tool without becoming too overwhelming for choice. While it's easy to be wowed by a lot of shiny potential …
Chose Yardi Voyager
In the last 3 to 5 years have reviewed products that are just for the multi-family segment of the Real Estate industry similar to Yardi Voyager and found that Voyager's database structure and accounting and payable functions were superior.
Chose Yardi Voyager
We evaluated 3 other products and chose Voyager based on a complete package, it being in a SaaS environment and a solid interface to our accounting software.
Chose Yardi Voyager
Financials are best in MRI. One Site is best for leasing and intuitiveness, Yardi is night and day the best facilities program though.
Chose Yardi Voyager
Yardi Property Management would not be my first choice due to the miserable intuitive functionality, but price is better than One Site. I have limited exposure to Entrata, but I wish Yardi would incorporate some of the ease they have managed to figure out. Yardi, if you have …
Chose Yardi Voyager
I and my company have only used Yardi. I am with a 2-year-old start-up now, but the person who chose to use Yardi here used it for 20 years previously. With a track record like that, I assume it is hard to beat!
Chose Yardi Voyager
We have always utilized Yardi as our accounting system. We did, however update from Yardi Genesis to Yardi Voyager several months and have experienced first-hand the many advantages to conducting the update. Voyager has enabled us to elevate the level of reporting we provide …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Citrix and Argus are property management tools that each fill a function. Citrix is used to track real time payments, while Argus is used for modeling and cash flow analysis. Yardi combines many of the features between the two. Though it is more difficult to use, fully …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Yardi has the most market share and as a result, most new employees who come to our company already have a Yardi familiarization. That makes new employee training much easier.
Chose Yardi Voyager
Yardi was one of the only applications that offered the flexibility and changeability that we needed to manage over 3800 individual properties. Most of the competitors were strictly structured to only allow management of large, multi-family complexes rather than a mix of the …
Chose Yardi Voyager
Very user friendly and easy to share documents to other managers in the company.

In Real Estate sales and property management, Dotloop will be your best friend. When you need clients or tenants to sign a lease or a contract, sending through dotloop is extremely easygoing and keeps everything organized pertaining to what you name the loop. I think I speak for my whole office when I say that without dotloop, our lives would be a disorderly mess, and we would find ourselves losing papers and becoming confused. Dotloop really helps our office like no other and has great support along the way!

Yardi Voyager is well suited for any management company in the multifamily or commercial space and is a worthwhile competitor to other options in the space - MRI Software, Realpage, Resite, etc. For those med-large enterprises that value an intuitive and straightforward accounting and leasing system, and also work with other vendors that need to integrate with their ERP system, this is a great option. There is a large ramp-up time, requiring many company resources, and licensing is quite expensive, so this solution may not be for those companies with a small budget or personnel resources.

  • Yardi Property Management particularly excels at creating a system where it is easy to leave feedback for property managers because the data is available up front.
  • Yardi is also a useful tool at integrating property management across the entire platform. It can be used for asset management as well even for the most nitty gritty details.
  • It is also convenient to edit expenses inputted by the accounting department and managing those expenses forward for future budgeting.

Cons
  • Somewhat clunky interface that can be a little dizzying at times
  • Weird login protocols (at least when I was using it), making it hard to switch from the free to paid version or vice versa
  • Membership limitations that make businesses buy more subscriptions than they need, or not enough

  • Upon disposition the retrieval of all on line documents by unit instead of tcode.
  • Menus are all over the place and need to be standardized.
  • Ease of finding reports, seems like if you are looking for a recurring pmt report typing recurring payment would get you the result, but instead it is a payment manager analytics report.

We have invested 5 years of setup, implementation and training on Voyager. It's doing a very good job for us and I feel we've only scratched the surface of its capabilities. Yardi support has been very responsive with very little down time. The training materials are great from Client Central

Usability
The Brokers I've connected with that used Dotloop in the past have also had the same issue I had. Their relationship with "thousands" of MLS listing services is not true. No one took responsibility for not communicating this early on. Everyone just pointed the finger at other departments and did absolutely nothing to alleviate the situation.

To add insult to injury, the system crashes during peak usage, making it near impossible to submit offers promptly. If requested I am more than open to provide the video showing both when the system crashes and the aforementioned issue

Overall it is a reliable and relatively easy product to utilize. No Property Management Software is simple to implement, so a return on investment is delayed and care should be made to ensure that this platform does everything you need for it to do. Experience and knowledge in SQL programming language is helpful, as there are many SQL reports and scripts available to be able to better utilize the software. It takes time to find the ones useful and the ones that resolve hiccups.

Support Rating
Good support but onboard training could probably be a bit better as well as documentation. But we rarely need support as the software works flawlessly once you know how to use it. Very happy with support so far and I recommend the product.

The local office is very knowledgeable, however recently it seems that Yardi has begun to route calls offshore and the knowledge base there does not seem to be as strong as the USA based support centers. All customizations are done by offshore personnel, which presents issues in terms of the language barrier and time zone differences.

If you are converting from another system, grouping your properties by subsidy type seemed to help us. We were able to focus on a half dozen properties at a time, rather than the entire portfolio.
