No other platform I have used has the quality and usability of Entelo. Each has one specific feature that doesn't interact well with others. This has many helpful features in a single, trackable resource.
iCIMS is the most user friendly ATS that I have used.

iCIMS proved to be a more robust/mature tool that increased recruiter efficiency. Reporting was a big winner, the speed of pulling data and sharing it with peers, scheduling exports, etc.
We completed an extensive RFP and found that iCIMS delivered the most functionality for the best price. It was easy to implement, the post-implementation support far exceeded the offerings of the other companies, and it provided the robust reporting we needed to ensure we had …
The iCIMS software is comparable to other larger ATS's out there today. We felt that iCIMS was there to meet the needs of our business. The price point was appropriate for us and the level of customer service support was enticing for us.
I have used many ATS systems over my career, including Halogen, Taleo, Sumtotal, and Kenexa 2XR. iCIMS stacks up against all of the above and is above average. iCIMS is not a full blown Taleo product but is getting closer to that full blown product with each new release.
I have seen and used a variety of other products, and as I said in a previous answer, there is no comparison. iCIMS is the ONLY true ATS. The others are simply modules that were slapped on to round out a HRMS system, or a small product within a very large company that doesn't …

Used Taleo many years ago. Unfair to compare only because each company designed there system to meet the company needs. You can way over think the structure of the dashboard and I recommend not doing that.

Recruiting / ATS
Comparison of Recruiting / ATS features of Product A and Product B
Great for reaching out to passive candidates and standing out instead of using LI. Candidates are used to receiving the same messages in the same format and by using this tool we have the chance to mix it up and try and stand out from our competition. Entelo has been an awesome addition to my toolbox
When we partnered with ICIMS in 2018, it met our needs. 8 years later, I think ICIMS can offer more. AI needs to be incorporated into its system to better service its customers. The other recommendation is that they should offer training and communicate more often with their clients. Their dashboard should also be improved to make it easier on the eyes.
Kenexa is is well suited for any organization that has more than 3000 employees globally. I would not recommend this to startups or a growing organization with less than 3000 employees. But once you cross this number, Kenexa becomes useful and is a brilliant tool for global operations - recruiting. I would recommend this tool to any organization that has offices in many countries/geographies as well.
Entelo provides accurate candidate contact info. Many of the profiles I have sourced via the platform have had the correct email address and my emails were able to reach the prospective candidate. This really helps recruiting efforts. Most candidates in this day and age constantly check their personal email. Engineers in particular are a hard group to reach and just sending an InMail isn't always the best route. Entelo really helps in recruiting for engineers by helping to provide their personal contact details.
Entelo's tracking feature is a great strength. Any email you send to candidates on the platform, you can track accordingly. I get a notification when the candidate opens my email, clicks on link in the email, and when they reply. The notifications don't just come through the Entelo platform but you get an email as well so you're up to date.
Entelo search is another great feature. You can search for candidates by entering skill, position, company name etc. There's even a diversity filter! Really great search criteria that helps you hone in on your ideal candidates. This is really useful for hard to fill technical positions.
The opt-out message after the 1st text helps weed out the people who are not interested.
Having the ability to have templates/answers to frequent questions saved and ready to use makes it easier/faster to talk to multiple people.
Being able to schedule text campaigns is amazing. Every Saturday I set up my campaigns for the next week. This gives me more time to focus on other things.
Kenexa allows Boolean key word search within a particular requisition so it makes sifting through a high number of applicants manageable and effective
Kenexa can be tailored to meet individual business needs. During the time we’ve had Kenexa here I’ve used it in support of a few different business segments and for each the way the system was used to “position” candidate statuses have varied based on the individual need of the business. One example is when interviewing a high volume of applicants internationally, we were able to send qualified applicants through to the “event manager” and it would enable the candidate to select his/her interview date/time based on previously submitted options inputted by our Kenexa users.
Kenexa allows one to customize and score questions for each open requisition that applicants complete as they apply. The system then sorts applicants according to the score of candidate answers allowing for easy sorting of top qualified candidates.
All the profile information isn't up to date and you always need to click through to their profile links (LinkedIn, GitHub, Angel List, etc.)
It doesn't do a great job of pulling profiles from Facebook as you are better off sourcing directly from Facebook.
If would be great if they could provide email reporting for the time of day to test the best time of day to email candidates so you can a/b test. Also, it would be great if you could provide response rate by List so you can see out of the 'x' number of candidates on a list, 'y' number of candidates responded. If a candidate doesn't respond to my initial outreach I send multiple follow-up emails so it would good to see how many candidates on my List respond to me. If I were to do that now it would be a very manual process and take too much time.
They don't have drip/automated email campaign capabilities. It would be great when I send that initial email to a candidate to have the ability to scheudle follow-up emails based. For example, if the candidate doesn't respond to my initial email within 2 days send follow up email 1, if they don't respond to that email within 2 days send follow-up 2, etc.
BrassRing's application system for candidates is prone to freezing and crashing in the middle of the application causing potential candidates to lose all progress. I filled out the application myself and witnessed these issues first hand, on top of several complaints I received via phone and email from candidates attempting to apply via the BrassRing service. Also, the Parsing system within the application is not capable of pulling any meaningful information out of text documents.
Each user must be added to each job in order for that job, and the candidates in it, to show up in relevant searches. This becomes a problem when a new team member joins the account and needs access to all of the previous openings just so that they can find candidates already in the system. The account I was working on involved literally hundreds of new openings a month, meaning that any movement of personnel on or off the account would mean having to update potentially thousands of old positions just to allow them to be able to mine the ATS for candidates. I don't see any particular reason why someone with access to the system should have to be given access to each individual job. If a particular position needs to be kept confidential for whatever reason then that individual position should be able to be set to only show to authorized recruiters. The rest of the positions should automatically be searchable by anyone with appropriate access to the ATS to allow for basic level candidate mining and movement.
We would highly likely renew iCIMS Hire because it consistently delivers strong value across our recruiting process. It streamlines workflows, improves collaboration between teams, and provides reliable reporting and insights. The system is scalable, user-friendly, and continues to evolve with new features, making it a dependable long-term solution for our hiring needs.
I am confident that the Kenexa product will continue to evolve to meet the needs of our business in an ever changing work environment. The affiliation with IBM also plays a factor as we have a long standing successful relationship with IBM products. We will be looking to integrate other Kenexa products in the near future to streamline our HR processes.
I would give it a 9.5 rating, if allowed because despite several gaps, the user's (candidate) feedback to us has been consistently within the 9-10 range, in the past year. The tool is clean, branded and efficient for the people we recruit and who apply to our job openings. It serves our needs extremely well and I for one, wouldn't replace it at the moment, given our hiring needs. It does have some reporting misses and the Mobile app is down to a 4 - however, the results we're seeing overshadow its functionality challenges
I feel like I am pretty decent with computers and systems. It was fairly easy to use it after about a week or two . But I have seen people struggle with it as well as some people not use it at all. It can be slow at times and not work at times. But Its a fine system.
There is always ample advance notice before the software goes down for maintenance and this is usually done at off-peak hours. As for system failures - I can't think of any that have effected us in over two years od use.
We can think of no dissatisfaction with our daily use of iCims, involving its response time to commands or incompatibility with any other software we presently use.
Before pandemic and iCIMS Talent Cloud acquisitions I would give 10 without a doubt. Unfortunately, I see a strong decrease in the support model, which seems to be mainly connected with the fact that acquired companies/tools/features need to be integrated with the platform, and knowledge of newly provided services and tools were not yet incorporated fully into the support.
It is a very basic system. It may be OK for entry level positions only. The practice of removing CVs while the recruitment process is ON is disturbing and there is no one to explain or to inform why it is being done. Even a routine mail is not sent to the client/consultant. I am surprised how this system is continuing without too many complaints.
I would say I believe iCims online training is very good. It's informative, visually appealing, and simple in explaining all the different aspects of iCims. I also really like the new candidate onboarding, and all the other training curricula you have up to be able to inform or send out to the candidate. I like you can attach a URL link for videos as well so you can really customize the training. I feel that overall, I would like to see more. Perhaps, more robust options with the training, if that's something iCims is expanding on in the future.
Entelo is similar to SeekOut in general, but I prefer Entelo as I find I have more success finding the candidates I am looking for. It has everything I need and then some, and that is what I like about it. I also love the Chrome extension and its ease of use.
Fully available automation, lesser bad data quality, more information is gathered at the time of applicant profile creation without having the need to ask for any follow ups or additional notifications. Integrates better with Oracle, Workday and SAP than other similar systems. Service tickets are resolved faster than other vendors we worked with.
SF ATS was not available at the time and Taleo was thought to be too expensive. In retrospect, given the amount of customization and leveraging of other vendor technology for things like analytics I suspect any cost advantage we realized evaporated
iCims is currently pretty good and the best TAS for us at our stage of growth - but further improvement and enhancements will only help make it even better.
