Slido offers better payment plans than the others, but Kahoot is more interactive and better suited for in-person events. Slido has better UI/UX than Mentimeter.

Slido is comparatively more intuitive wherein UI is quite easy to use and follow. Also it has broad mix of poll types available which allows to run multiple types of polls. It has more intergration compared to other alternatives and reporting is quite detailed too. And, I love …

Kahoot feels more like a kids game and I've used it for fun events, it doesn't feel appropriate for a professional setting or workshop. It also doesn't integrate right into Google Slides as a seamless part of the presentation.

Read&Write is especially well-suited to supporting students with reading accommodations during independent work, content-area instruction, and written-response tasks. In my 5th-grade classroom, one of the most effective scenarios is during science and social studies lessons, where students are expected to read complex informational texts independently. There can also be occasional challenges when websites, PDFs, or testing platforms are not fully compatible with all Read&Write features.

I think it works great as a part of lesson. Sometimes teachers use it as a whole period lesson and I don't think that's effective. I also find that students like to use it to test themselves so it works well as a self study tool. I do think Kahoot! has a lot of options for responses which is great.

Also, it did not pinch my pocket at all. The best part is this $25 earning opportunity via feedback :-). And the list goes on... The less appropriate part was mentioned earlier in ways that I see improvements with Slido, coming to utilize Slido everywhere and in various ways. Overall, I love the AI suggestions.

Useful for either, in-person or online classes: it can work from a projector or screen in in-person classes, or by sharing the screen in online classes.
Excellent to get an idea of the understanding or knowledge level of a group of people: depending on the intention of the game, the professor or person in charge of it can make and change the questions to address certain points.
Easy to use for both professors and students: Kahoot is intuitive, simple, and fun to use.
Interactive and engaging: Kahoot is a game designed to work as a tool for professors, which makes it perfect to use with students.

I would like to use the practice reading aloud tool more, but the kids that I work with have a hard time understanding the concept. I think that, while there are a lot of tools available, sometimes they are hard for younger students to understand.
The hover to read function is nice as well, but my students struggle with the fact that if you move the mouse once it starts reading it will start all over in a new area. It's not as smooth as I would like it to be.

Having sometimes large classes means that I cannot use Kahoot! as it only allows a very limited amount of participants.
The above is the main issue and other competitor platforms (Mentimeter) do much better on this
There is also very limited choice with the basic account in terms of types of questions. Some sort of corporate license might help Universities purchasing the advanced subscription (which costs too much for a single professional) and have access to all the features.

I miss the Slack integration; they used to have this and they deprecated it in the last year or so.
I believe they have a nice integration for PowerPoint, would be nice if they had something similar with google slides since that is what we typically use internally.
We use the word cloud feature often and sometimes answers seem to get lost (as in don't show up at all) on the screen. for example, an answer will be there, then as more answers come in it disappears, and when we get to a certain threshold of answers it somehow pops back up again. It's not the worst but sometimes someone will ping me that their submission didn't make the word cloud and they're bummed.

I'm just really impressed with the software and the access it gives to learners who are used to coming up against barriers in education. It's a quick-fix for a learner - something they can access usefully and productively with very little training. I also love that learners can access Read&Write on their devices at home - that really is a game changer.

I am giving this an 9. Not a perfect score because working on PDFs is better but not yet as easy as I need for it to be. Working with many students who have executive function challenges, I need a smooth simplistic access method. We are not quite there yet for writing on PDFs. Overall the toolbar on Read&Write is super easy to access and I love that the suite includes several tools on the toolbar providing a solution to many accessibility challenges.

The site's currently layout feels busy. If you are not a seasoned Kahoot user, it is easy to be distracted and overwhelmed by the information presented. I would not recommend this site to a novice computer user. If the user is tech-savvy and willing to navigate the help topics provided by the site, lessons and games can be created more easily with time and practice.

Overall, it is a handy tool. We do not use it too often in meetings; we started using it creatively for quizzes and Q&A with radio/TV audiences. Producers or Sponsors often explicitly request the option to include this particular type of interaction, and we are happy to do so. It helps that the setup is easy, so is copying events, etc. I sometimes miss Switcher (for our live events), but I understand the reasons it was phased out

I had to use the support for this tool only once. The response was very rapid, very professional and fulfilled my needs immediately. Online support services are sometimes advertised only to lure people into buying the product but and non-existent or difficult to use afterwards. Not with Slido. I find Slido a bit easier to use than Poll Everywhere and other live polling software that I've used. While other software offers similar features, I've found that Slido's setup is a bit more intuitive and makes it easier to duplicate polls you've made for reuse. You get the most bang for your buck with Slido's basic plan compared to other polling software's basic tier.
