Fireflies.ai vs. Gong

It does the job really well. They were one of the first on the scene and have continually improved overtime. It's crazy affordable, I'm always surprised when I see the $5 monthly charge compared to other apps I pay more for and use a lot less.

I think Gong is well suited when you are having a company that makes a lot of calls to clients or receives a lot of calls. It is very important. I think, from a business standpoint, to log all of the calls and conversations that are had to use in case anything ever comes up. Also, just to make sure that your employees are doing well on the calls, because you cannot monitor every single call personally. Having this as a reference point to listen to things that might be important versus not is awesome. it might be less appropriate if you are not really interacting a ton with the clients. If you are more so just doing business meetings, then it might not be needed. However, I do think it's a great tool overall because it provides the AI note recap from the calls and logs everything that might be helpful for any reason

• Helps in transcription & take notes.
• Listening to the meeting is very easy.
• Can be integrated into other various software.
• They also provide the option to download the meeting and the option to like & dislike the recording.
• And I love their soundbites features which I can use to highlight the specific part of the recording for future use.

• Would love to see the formatting of the summary when I download it look better. The headers are usually far too large and I end up reformatting each summary into my preferred format, layout font, etc. If there’s a way for me to preload, what my preferences are, that would be fantastic so I get a fully complete document without having to do much manipulation after the fact.
• I have my settings, correct but Fireflies.ai doesn’t always attend every Zoom meeting or every teams meeting. It does about 90% of the time, but there is a 10% failure rate which causes us a huge problem for me.

• A history tracker (similar to Google Sheets/Excel) - it'd be nice to see WHO was changing certain fields and when exactly.
• Dark mode.
• A quick checklist when getting started to ensure I'm getting the most out of the platform (e.g., Gong Connect, Gong Import).

I don't make these decisions for our company, but I would highly encourage our use of Gong to continue. Gong has been very helpful in my sales role in terms of staying organized and on top of accounts, completing actions in a timely manner, and moving deals forward with better insights

Given that I work in sales, it is one of the must have tools for the sales team. It helps us understand and review our calls anytime, anywhere. Access to the recording is easy for sales agent as well the team. Summary and transcription saves the time and manual work

It does great for all the things I've mentioned. I didn't give it a 10/10 because I still think there is room to improve as far as improving the quality of the insights that are more actionable. I.e. this happened so you should think about doing this thing as a next step.

I give them a 10 because, I have been using Gong for over a year now and have never had issues or concerns go un resolved in a day or two. Their communication is impeccable and their tech support is very hands on and prompt

Fireflies.ai is made for meetings — that’s its main function — so it doesn’t include fancy features like video editing. If you need to record a podcast, it’s better to use Descript. Google Cloud is a good choice if you already have an audio file and need a very detailed transcription. Fireflies not only helps with transcription, but also with summarization and distribution. So while all three tools offer similar features, if you need a meeting copilot, Fireflies performs better.

It stacks up in a different way. All of these companies try to do some feature that Gong does. Like Call recording, call analysis, AI discovery, Forecasting and Sales Activity tracking. Gong beats most, Otter.ai is a growing competitor though.

• The cost is very affordable and getting ROI for it happens within the first meeting.
• My clients appreciate the quick turn on having an action plan in place for them.
• I like having a catalog of meetings I can reference to see the client improvements.

• I don't have specific metrics since this feature isn't used in my job personally, but I do know that our sales and CS teams use Gong with SFDC opportunities to help with forecasting closed won opportunities based on intent captured within the call.
