The experienced Senior Recruiters in our organization say that iCIMS Talent Cloud is the most all-encompassing Applicant Tracking Software they have used thus far which I believe speaks a lot. I cannot picture any scenario where the products are not suited; the options available for different organizations seem to be versatile.

  1. For companies like our who are using legacy EBS platform, transition to Oracle [Cloud] HCM is an imperative. We liked the SaaS model offering for ease of transition and business fitment.
  2. We did not try to replicate everything from the legacy system to the cloud model. As we were fully aware that our process needed improvements first. So we took the opportunity of standardizing our processes across legal entities to have minimum deviations. This helped us configure about 80% of our process easily.
  3. We actively engaged with the product development team to have our business requirements addressed without making irreversible customization requests. Surely this helped the platform head in the right direction and we got what is needed.

  • Onboarding - allows you to interact with your new employees before they are officially working. Allows you to set up access to portal where they can get information prior to starting.
  • Payroll - Simplifies payroll process, which includes tax updates and IRS reporting. All processing is run in the cloud which makes the calcs faster and reduces payroll processing time
  • Built on Oracle best practices where the company needs to determine why they cannot use industry best practices so 80% of your processes use industry best practices and 20% need some changes.
  • Is all configuration based using industry best practices so there isn't any expensive support charges to manage customizations.

  • We've had changes to our account managers that have been confusing. We lost our months ago and still have not been assigned a new one. They are very helpful as they take the time to understand how you use the system and ways to make it even better.
  • Reporting is overwhelming.
  • Searching is cumbersome. Sometimes I just want to look up a phone number who called me, but I can't because of the formatting.

  • Account Manager is a bit aggressive in trying to up sell, realistically we only use it for recruiting within the department (I am simply a user, so not insane robust features necessary).

I would say that we are very likely to renew with iCIMS. They seem to continuously be improving their product based on the feedback from their clients. In addition, the thought have having to go through another implementation of this level is daunting and as long as the software continues to meet the business needs of the company and provides the appropriate level of support we will most likely stay. Costs regarding future renewals will also impact this decision and if necessary we will go to market to evaluate other options.

It could be a bit more user-friendly for the hiring managers and those folks that do not have much experience with systems like these. I feel like the design of it appears intimidating to them and they decide they don't know what to do even before they have tried anything. I think it might be nice to have a more basic platform as far as visual appearance and usability for regular users and save the "techie" platform for the admin users who are more likely to be well-trained in how to navigate the suite.

After the initial training's, it was quite intuitive to use the application.The application is based upon best practices and the overall flows are quite logical.The train stop approach also ensures that users understand where they are in the process cycle. Also, the number of clicks have been greatly rationalized to ensure that there is more streamlined experience.

There is always ample advance notice before the software goes down for maintenance and this is usually done at off-peak hours. As for system failures - I can't think of any that have effected us in over two years od use.

The overall experience has vastly changed since we moved into product paid support.'Also, with Oracle going with the model of quarterly patches, it makes sense to have the product company provide support to the overall application thereby eliminating the problems of bugs.

I would say I believe iCims online training is very good. It's informative, visually appealing, and simple in explaining all the different aspects of iCims. I also really like the new candidate onboarding, and all the other training curricula you have up to be able to inform or send out to the candidate. I like you can attach a URL link for videos as well so you can really customize the training. I feel that overall, I would like to see more. Perhaps, more robust options with the training, if that's something iCims is expanding on in the future.

There is a lot of potential on Fusion. We have reaped about 10% of potential benefits. Especially on Workforce Intelligence, the opportunities are huge. The reason why we do not use the solution at its full potential is not in the product (which is simple and transparent). A roadmap is under construction to bring more of its potential to the end user.

We have some very unique processes, and it was important for us to have a system that is highly configurable, and would also integrate well with other programs that we were already using. We found iCIMS to be the best for us in configurability, and the program already had integrations in place with other software products that we used--more so than other companies we evaluated.

  • We were not good at tracking any numbers around recruiting so now this last year we have been able to set the benchmark that we now can work toward improving.
  • At any given time, we could not say how many open positions we had. Now we are able to keep track of that.
  • We do a much better job with communicating with candidates now, especially the ones not selected. This will help us maintain a better reputation and attract the candidates back for other jobs they may be a better fit for in the future.
