Lifesize Video Conferencing had a comparable video picture to Polycom, but it appeared to require for more bandwidth. As if it wasn't being compressed at all. But the major factor for us was that Lifesize Video Conferencing (at least at the time) was not able to integrate with …
For the TOC, I would say Lifsize has been good. We do use a combination of Lifesize and Polycom endpoints. Polycom does have more capabilities but at a higher cost.
Lifesize is much less expensive, both in terms of the purchase price as well as in terms of the total maintenance costs. Setup, implementation, and administration are all much easier with Lifesize than with the Polycom units. Updates are simple to install, and the software is …
With the infrequent and sporadic use of our system, we could not justify the extra cost of the Polycom. The ease of use for students calling into a virtual meeting room was easy, intuitive and connected flawlessly. In our institution, our needs vary from semester to semester, …
Lifesize is one of the very few, if not only, video manufacturers to develop their own software and hardware making for a very stable solution that isn't as vulnerable to changes on the market and where all the different integrations always work well on both software and …

Chose Lifesize Video Conferencing
Lifesize provides a great high-quality professional video conferencing solutions that, with accompanying software like Lifesize Cloud or Zoom, can connect to a multitude of different devices anywhere in the world. While Polycom certainly has more brand recognition in the …
Overall, I'd have to say that on the endpoint side Lifesize really competes well against Polycom and Cisco, and I think they have the best product. On the software front, Lifesize does very well overall and they are continuing to get better. To sum up, when we look at the total …
When I started at one of my jobs, they already have Lifesize VC equipment. It was nice, they worked and they were less expensive. But once we started transitioning things to Polycom it was a night/day difference. Some of our large conference rooms had audio issues that the …
Poly has outlasted other competitor's products. I have reviewed Lifesize as one alternative. Ironically, I was impressed with the overall quality over Poly, however, the product did not last as well as Poly units.
The Polycom RealPresence Group Series was top of the line. It had a lot more features as well as the ability to integrate with Microsoft Teams. With Highfive, you had to pay to keep the device running and it was more like renting it. Although we pay maintenance with Polycom we …
Polycom is the most flexible video conferencing hardware solution on the market. They provide a fantastic infrastructure but also have the option to directly register or convert to a cloud service endpoint!
Conference room systems do not seem to be commonly integrated with Skype for Business, so limited usability. Lifesize looked attractive, but the lower cost and local support of Polycom put it ahead.

Chose Polycom RealPresence Group Series
With our investment in the RealPresence infrastructure it just makes sense to use a RealPresence endpoint. The other endpoints integrate with additional work, but the group series just work.
The GroupSeries has performed much better than all the alternative solutions we have tried. We have been a Lifesize shop for a long time, but their direction was cloud only and more proprietary so we wanted a more open solution. We also use Skype For Business and there is …
We are still evaluating more about the differences between the two devices and how they handle audio and video within a call. Along with bandwidth, flexiblilty in meetings, and security features.
