Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing
Lifesize Video Conferencing is being used by our entire organization to conduct meetings among management as well as Virtual Office Visits with providers. Lifesize helped us stay connected with our patients during the pandemic allowing healthcare providers to continue to see patients during the quarantine and limited face to face visits.
Pros
- The ability to "ring" a coworker like calling them at their extension.
- The ease of adding in participants to a meeting whether administrative or clinical.
Cons
- The network was unstable during some calls regardless of the size. The screen would shake throughout the call.
- There were challenges logging into a meetings to the point where we would have to log off our pc and log back in.
- Sporadic Audio issues would take place regardless of where we would us the app, on-campus or off campus
- First the cost of licensing was significantly lower than other applications. We were able to experience an almost immediate return on investment now having the ability to bill the health plans for Virtual Visits.
- Again, the lower cost of licensing allowed us to provide more users within the company with license. I am unable to share the specifics of our contract with Lifesize Video Conferencing. What I can say is the price made it easy for us to subscribe to Lifesize.
The cost of Lifesize Video Conferencing is very affordable compared to other applications on the market. The audio and video quality is not as consistent as a ZOOM, Webex or doxy.me. We have experienced the video shaking, the audio delays or dropping sporadically. We were able to use Lifesize with existing hardware similar to the other products which and again coupled with the price made it an easy choice.
