    Our entire company has been able to communicate via Microsoft Teams for large company meetings and use video to connect with each other. We've held large team meetings as well where everyone joins in with video to be able to see each others' faces from time to time since we're all now 100% remote. Microsoft Teams is an excellent communication tool between myself and my employees. The one thing I'd say that is a drawback is that my team member and I had a personal conversation and an IT person was able to view and even share our conversation with other bosses. I thought this was inappropriate and I wish there would be a way to be "alerted" when someone is spying in on your conversations!

It is a solution that helps us obtain an accurate vision of what is needed. By allowing team members to modify existing information, saving time, reducing errors and making better decisions that guarantee the success of the team. It helps us find and share information quickly which increases productivity and yields positive results immediately.

    Pros

    Microsoft Teams

    • Video calls are great with Microsoft Teams. They've made big improvements over the last year and I rarely have issue with getting on. It's nice when things just work.
    • The most used functionality is, of course, the chat feature. It does what it's supposed to do and you can create chat groups from whoever you'd like. We use it a lot when there is a special project and a team from various groups get together for a short period of time to get things done.
    • An overlooked function is the ability to search anything within Microsoft Teams. Any photo, document, or chat can be searched and found pretty easily. I can't tell you how many times this has saved me from having to rewrite something or start over.

    Cons

    Microsoft Teams

    • Found a bug where Microsoft Teams suddenly drops during an ongoing call even if there is no network issue from either end
    • Screen sharing is also buggy. When we share our desktop screen on MS Teams the taskbar disappears and it's difficult to navigate through apps.
    • There is a limit to PIN 15 chats a favourites. This count should be increased.

    The overall functionality of the product is incredible in that it provides a one-stop solution for organization and communication. The product is also very well integrated into Microsoft Outlook and other Office apps. Visually pleasing and very easy to use interface.     I think Microsoft Team is overall good application for communication, track Project work inter the teams and also intra teams. I have 7 out of 10 because it needs improvements in certain features like video sharing call, call drop, audio quality and connecting problems even after having good internet connection.

    I base the rating on the online availability of the help system. The product is quite intuitive but the questions I did have were answered on the online help. That is always better than having to contact support as then you have to wait longer than just a search on the website.

    Alternatives Considered

    Microsoft Teams

    I enjoy Teams better than Lync/Skype for Business, but I enjoy Slack the most for inter-company communication and UI/UX convenience. The learning curve for Slack is very small and it has a casual atmosphere that would engage the employees in a more fun and welcoming manner than a stark and professional background of Teams.

    Although most of the tools listed above are not dedicated wikis, they do offer that feature. I like that Tettra is dedicated to the wiki space, so that allows them more time to flesh out the features for that space.

    Honestly, this tool is worth every penny. Yes, it's not free and you pay for the quality of services and the license. But the ROI and the benefits are all there. Also, the renewal, negotiation, and contract terms are all very well explained by our Microsoft account manager, and she's a charm.

    I used Skype for Business to take calls, hold conferences, and provide remote assistance to users. Microsoft Teams, on the other hand, is superior to Skype for Business in my opinion. My job entails a lot of screen sharing.

    • I think it has allowed us to leverage our Office365 more effectivly since all of the apps are synced together.
    • It has really allowed us transition away from more formal webex meetings and have a more free flow conversation.
    • It also gives us a more direct line to our manager if we need there input they can easily join our team chat.
