Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams
On a daily basis, we use Microsoft Teams to communicate and collaborate within our organization and with our colleagues. I am proud to say that we transitioned from other collaboration tools, and we are here to stay. I've been loving Microsoft Teams so far and I think it's quite exceptional on what it does and the potential that it provides to remote workers. It has never been this easy for me to communicate with my colleagues and Microsoft Teams made it possible for me. Personally, I think that Microsoft Teams has the most intuitive and sleek user interface among all of the communication and collaborative tools that I have used in the past. I like how it looks and how it provides you the various option to customize it to your liking. Additionally, we use Microsoft Teams 2-3 times a week for our face-to-face meetings. For me, the element of the human connection is a must for a job to feel alive, and Microsoft Teams enables that for us. Working remotely can be taxing to the human psyche especially if you're just staring at the screen all day and you do not have anyone to talk to. Well, Microsoft Teams makes that human connection possible and I especially love the filters that they provide - they keep on updating it too and provides us new backgrounds to work with our meetings regularly.
Pros
- Makes communication and collaboration easier through Chat.
- Lets us personalize and humanize face-to-face interactions through Meetings.
- Helps me effectively plan out my day through Calendar.
- Enables us to safely store and access our information through OneDrive.
- Simplifies calls and voice communication.
Cons
- Notetakers are ruining our meetings. Please give us the option to completely allow or block them completely.
- I often experience lag when leaving a meeting, please continue on improving this service.
- Please consider solid color background options for meetings. This is needed for most interviews, and it will save us time from trying to manually download them.
- Personally, I would say that by using Microsoft Teams, it upped my collaboration with my colleagues by around 50% or around more than half of what I usually did prior to using it.
- I had 100% show rate and attendance on all of my meetings in the past 6 months.
- If I may add, I also have been chattier & collaborative towards my colleagues in past 3 months particularly the month of December when we had huge traffic at work. I would estimate this behavior to have been increased by around 60% than what I usually incur during normal operating days.
Personally, I believe that Microsoft Teams stands tall against all of its competitors. What I value most that it brings ahead of its competitors is its options for customization; the modern look and feel of its user interface; the security that it exemplifies; and its simplicity to the point that it elicits this user-friendly and welcoming tone towards newcomers.
