If you are looking for a tool for Teams to use where they can keep everything together, then this will work really well. A complete package than tools such as WhatsApp or Skype for Business when it comes to documenting handling and more polished than the likes of Slack or HipChat for the team working and communication element.

  • Setup and installation is a breeze! I reached out several times after the installation to make a few changes to how our phones are configfured and the customer service went above and beyond. I love being appreciated as a customer after the sale!
  • The back end feels a little dated, but it works! And that's what matters.
  • The cost was very resonable for us for what we need from a phone service.
  • Our account manager is extrememly accessible.
  • Setting up auto attendants (which Nextiva calls "flows") is very intuitive. I had our whole attendant and phone tree set up in literally minutes.

  • The mobile use of the platform is very powerful. To be able to answer a video call on your phone and them simply swipe when you get to your desktop to have a seamless transfer is impressive.
  • The simple interface makes it easy for new users. There is nothing to make them feel overwhelmed.
  • Keeping all the information in the threads of conversations makes it easy to find. There is also a search tool, so as long as you know what you need, you can look accross all your conversation to find the information you are looking for.

  • Billing - the only issue we have had is related to billing. They started a new system late in 2022 and it's had some issues, but they are working through them.
  • Communication between staff and teams at Nextiva Business Phone Service can be an issue at times, sometimes the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing.
  • They don't send out free tacos - kidding of course but I don't have any complaints. The billing and communication are small issues but that is all I could think of.

Nextiva Business Phone Service system is very usable. We have desk phones, that were included at no cost. The function just as one would expect from an office phone system. I can also answer my calls from my PC and even on my cell phone if I have to leave the office.

Support is great. We usually get someone on the phone; they answer our questions and help us with our issues. They are responsive when we call, and there is also a wealth of information on their online help center, which will typically answer our question or send us in the right direction.

Nextiva Business Phone Service assigned an on-boarding team to help me implement the phone system. They asked me a few question about how we would be using the system and set everything to meet our implementation. They also took care of porting our phone number from our previous phone company so we could still use them with Nextiva Business Phone Service. The process was fast and painless.

Each of the tools above does something well. We have found that the Unify solution simply does a better job of combining all the features of the other services. \easy to start using, while remaining a powerful tool is a tricky task to pull off, but Unify have done this and they have done it well.

  • While Nextiva isn't cheap, we have saved money by eliminating all of our POTS lines, and PRI's from 3rd party carriers.
  • To be able to scale on the fly makes new office setup a breeze. Lead time is only a few weeks at most if we want to open a new office, this includes custom auto attendant setup.
  • As the Telecommunications admin for the company it is super easy for me to administer all of our offices from one web portal.

  • A shortening of timescales as information is not stuck on an internal server somewhere - we can include it as part of the thread. This also applies to updates and revisions. You automatically know which the latest revision is, as it is the most recent in the timeline.
  • The relative cost of implementation is low and there is a wide range of solutions for phones and clients, from software based solutions running on desktop and smartphone or quality hardware to make your desk phone a powerful tool in itself.
