One of the features I like the most is the employee usage score. I was able to use that to really encourage my staff members to continue to use the platform instead of always just coming to Human Resources. I think it's really great that they have that employee usage score that tells us all the time what percentage of your employees are actually doing these activities themselves. Because it really helps with us with the accountability. Using the system has helped us create a great level of accountability, especially from the HR perspective that I feel like we didn't really have before Paycom, so I hope that answered the question. Can't think of anything less appropriate.
It is well suited to manage field and office employees together. the process of critical onboarding of employees has been in the improved form. Reduction of manual data entry to a level is improved. The cloud-based applicant tracking system is a feature to look forward to. The portal makes the data audit-ready always which aligns things a lot.
I don't have any issues, so it's not like I have to call them every time I try to submit payroll. So their software just seems to work. Their customer service is good when I do have a reason to call them, so that's why we've stuck with them. We left our last company because their customer service was not good.
So one thing that I wish it had, and this is probably beyond even what it's used for, but something where you can use it to house trainings and policies. But if there was something built in where it would alert you when you need to go in and check the content of policies for updates and things like that, and it would alert the person who's in charge of it and have some type of way that you could track when the changes were made and who made them and those type of things, I think that would be great because right now we're actually looking at something like that to lend and to not have to go to another third party for would be awesome.
One thing that I wish that it had right now was AI integration. So that would be great, especially when it comes to background checks and just the screening process. If there was some way to automate that to where we don't have to go in and do it, or AI could do a portion of that through us working with the, and getting it to what we needed it to do, that would be great. But there aren't really many blockers though or anything that I would say it's not performing well for us right now.
We've made the mistake of moving away from Paycom to a PEO which had made a lot of promises, that they could not keep. Less than a year after that transition, we returned to Paycom and are happier than ever.
I think because it gives us so many different tools and I know that there have been areas that where the team has voiced that "oh, we wish it could do this or that". Nothing major. I can't think of it right now, but that's the only reason I didn't give it a 10.
Our TSR has been wonderful to work with. Every step of the way he was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. I knew I could reach him at any time (day or night) and he would be available to assist. Implementing a new HRIS system is obviously a huge task and I contribute all our success to our rep Kurt! Of course, with any implementation, there were bumps along the way and issues. But I always knew we would work as a team to get those issues figured out. Working in the Paycom system has been smooth and easy to learn and I enjoy the employee self-service interface. Our managers have had positive things to say and are all excited about the changes we have been able to make to our organization due to Paycom being implemented.
All the online training modules were short and straight to the point. Every module teach you how to use the system. If there is one thing they know how to do is training. We did implementation during the pandemic so all had to be done online or via zoom meetings.
Not at all satisfied it was a nightmare we spent over 8 months with the implementation team having issues after issues all related to the Puerto Rico regulations (half my employees are in Puerto Rico) and at the end we were moved over from the implementation team to the production team without all the issues being resolved
I've used ADP, I've used Paycor, I've used Insperity powered by isolved. I would say biggest competitor being paid for just because I see a lot of similar features and systems, but I do feel like Paycom is more, it just has some added features that our staff in really when it comes to how they're being paid and just being aware of going back to that. I think it's Beti, the Beti system, the paycheck, my paycheck, I think it's in Paycom's Beti system. That's the highlight. That's going to be one of the biggest highlights of Paycom
The feature to manage field and office employees. The usefulness in the management of paystubs. The application of training material availability and an audit-ready data feature is adding to its wings.
Yeah, I think actually probably be all of the above. I'll say time saved is probably our biggest one. When we implemented the applicant tracking system, it took our recruiting timeline or our onboarding timeline rather from almost nine to 10 days down to about 36 hours. So we'll take that any day when we have the size that we have. So very exciting.
