Paycom Review
Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
We onboard talent acquisitions, so through the hiring process, we use it for status change forms, so when people get promotions or different pay ranges, basically we've tried to integrate in every aspect of our department as much as we can. We're trying to remove anything manual based and putting it all through Paycom. So the employee's lifecycle, we're really trying to maneuver it all through Paycom right now.
Pros
- I think that it's just really user friendly on both sides, the employer and the employee side. I think from the employer side, once you get a niche of it and how it works, it's really easy to troubleshoot on your own. At least from my experience, you rarely have to call your contact because it's just so easy to try to figure out on your own. And on the employee side, I feel like the fact that we get to see what employees see, but before we put anything out really helps us help them if they are running into any issues. But typically when we do send something out, we just did our performance reviews, no issues whatsoever. It kind of takes you step by step. I feel like it just does a really good job of seamlessly taking people step by step in every process throughout whatever they're doing in Paycom.
Cons
- I think that when we do need a response back, which is very unlikely from the contact about something that's happening or going on, it can take a little long to get back to us. Longer than we would like because obviously it's an emergency to us, but we understand they have tons of emergencies they have to solve. But I think that's the only aspect.
- I know from a payroll standpoint, which I'm not really privy to because I don't work on the payroll side, there have been some little hiccups that about certain formulas used, certain credits being issued that we've already filed for tax credits that we filed for. So I know that my CFO's already on top of it and pay comes on top of it as well and it's getting resolved, but obviously that's a big issue that needs some work there.
- I think positive. It just streamlined a lot of things that we were doing manually. We're going paperless and Paycom was part of that process. The fact that we're able to remove all those forms, all those checklists really for at least for my department, freed up a lot of our time to focus on higher level kind of things that we have to finish with the company. I think that just streamlining basically, and just making our job easier. Whatever we can think of, like, oh, can Paycom do it? We'll go through Paycom and it works pretty seamlessly.
That is something that we actually want to get more into. We have a lot of things that streamline, but not a lot of things that are automated yet. That's why with the learning module, we're trying to incorporate that because for instance, our new hires have to do sexual harassment. I don't want to send them a link. I want it to just be automatically given to them for them to complete it, upload it, and it's already there for us. So I know Paycom has the capability, so it's now on us to really implement it and do all that automation, but something I'm excited to start doing.
