SE Ranking is a fantastic tool if you are a marketing agency or freelancer looking for a single tool for the majority of your SEO work. It also includes B2B tools like their lead generation widget and white label reports that can help you generate new leads for your business. It would get 10 stars if their database was larger to accommodate research for small geographic areas, but they are always expanding their database so it may just be a matter of time. Research SE Ranking has pricing plans available for every budget.

SEO PowerSuite

SEO PowerSuite, specifically Rank Tracker and Website Auditor, are 2 of my most used tools, and I mean multiple clients multiple times per day. Rank Tracker also seamlessly merges with Auditor—this is actually the only enterprise toolset for which I hold more than one license. Being able to find keyword and content gaps, as well as technical issues is possibly the most useful feature of any toolset. I would say it is always wise to have an alternative rank tracker, but I trust the PowerSuite variant over the others.

SE Ranking

  • Rank racking. It’s really important for us that the ranks are tracked accurately.
  • Monitoring of changes made on the website. We’ve found this feature really useful.
  • Reports. This includes auto reports and manuals. We can easily and quickly create reports to check our SEO progress month by month.

SE Ranking

  • I really don't think SE Ranking has many flaws. They are also rolling out an app at the moment - SE Ranking Pro - need to test that one.
  • Some more video tutorials on the site on how to use some tools would be helpful.
  • More in-system popups would be more helpful too.

  • The software is not strong with processing large amounts of data. So, it is really good for small and medium size businesses, but can be cumbersome for large projects.
  • Due to large number of settings it takes time to learn it.
  • Need to purchase proxies or captcha solution. I think those can be provides as part of the package already.

I gave SEO PowerSuite a two because our company did not renew our subscription. The pricing was too complicated and having multiple platforms made it more difficult to use. We dropped our subscription to SEO PowerSuite and implemented Moz. Moz gave us a full view of all of the metrics we were looking for on one web-based platform. Plus, the pricing model was simple so it was easier to get senior management to cosign on.

The support is great but they don't have 24/7 support. And time zones can also be an issue sometimes. On the other hand there are plenty of guides and videos around to get yourself started. I never really needed support for "big" issues. And the help I got was good enough.

I have had several interactions with support at SEO PowerSuite. Each time I have been quite pleased with the response. I have interacted with billing and tools support and have found them to both be on top of things. they follow up well and they get the issue resolved in a timely manner. I have no complaints here.

Alternatives Considered

SE Ranking

SE Ranking is better than Serpstat or MOZ or Ahrefs when it comes to tracking keyword rankings, but it lacks in every other SEO category, such as onsite and offsite SEO metrics, content analysis, etc...It's a good choice for agencies that are interested in tracking keywords for their clients, but other than that it underperforms in every other SEO category.

SEO PowerSuite

SEO PowerSuite is a unique SEO software because it runs on your computer. Unlike Ahrefs or Moz, which run as SaS, this tool depends on your computer resources to crawl and gather data from the websites which can be a good thing, because your business lives on your computer. This can also be a negative thing because Google sometimes show their "captcha" since they recognize your machine as a crawler.PowerSuite recently improved their SEO SpyGlass' link index and now compete with the big dogs, such as Moz and Ahrefs and SEMrush, but not Majestic.They require you to pay a monthly fee for their "algo updates" which increases the cost of their "one time payment" marketing model.

SE Ranking

  • The website "health" report has allowed us to fix things that Google might find strange or cause us to lose rankings, which has been very helpful.
  • It's given us more visibility into what exactly our SEO management company is doing and how they are performing, and if things are changing or not. It's very easy to see right from the dashboard.
  • Being able to see how our competitors stack up against us has helped us know where to improve, what to focus on, and how to be even better.
