ShippingEasy is perfect for a small business that needs the inventory system but doesn't want to pay through the nose. The customer service is excellent - they help you in set up, making changes, and make sure you understand how to use it. They save me time in managing our inventory and save me time when there is a problem - I call and get an answer right away. Plus if there is a system wide problem, which there rarely is, they make announcements and keep us up to date during and after

Great when it works. The huge downside when it doesn't if you do not have contingency plans in place. Do not expect timely updates to issues, and you will likely never be able to speak with a human for tech support. A good option for International Shippers in that it streamlines the export documentation when it is working.

Pros

ShippingEasy

  • ShippingEasy makes it very easy to set up shipping rules for various scenarios so that shipping is fairly automated. It really is a click and ship type set up.
  • ShippingEasy integrates into our BigCommerce platform very well. We very rarely have any issues with ShippingEasy syncing orders and shipping status to BigCommerce and vise versa.
  • ShippingEasy's marketing service is very easy to use. It makes email campaign design extremely easy and aesthetically pleasing and it also makes automated emails very easy to set up as well.

ShipStation

  • Integration: It works so well I forget that it is a 3rd party solution sometimes.
  • Automation: You can set nested rules based on order details, really cutting down on the little things that slow down your fulfillment process.
  • Management: We almost never log into the admin side of BigCommerce thanks to ShipStation. ShipStation handles all of our day-to-day needs.

ShipStation

  • Making the Aliases importable via CSV would be a huge help. Currently, we have to add each one manually and we even had to develop a BOT that would add thousands over the course of hours, but that process is still time-consuming and nowhere near perfect. If this could be solved by allowing Aliases to be uploaded via CSV that would be lovely.
  • The product information area could be improved upon, maybe adding more fields so you can have as much product info in ShipStaion as possible. Also making any new data fields importable would be great.

If you take some time to learn what all the options and features of ShipStation do, it will save you time, energy and headaches as the system works for domestic orders and international orders for export. You have the ability to adjust info that auto populates into the customs forms for exporting goods and ShipStation solidly integrates with BigCommerce (outside of my previously disclosed web browser issue which could be the browser's fault)

ShippingEasy customer support is excellent. We rarely have to wait on hold, the reps are knowledgeable, well trained, well spoken, and understand technical issues. They listen carefully to make sure they understand the issue and check if they do not know something. I feel confident that I am getting correct information and rarely have to make more than one phone call to get an issue corrected.

ShipStation customer support was easy to use. The written help sections were clear and we could find answers to our questions even if we had to dig a little and read several articles. We often used the chat feature to get quick answers. Once the system was set up for our needs it worked quite well.

ShippingEasy

We used to use the Quickbooks shipping option to ship all of our orders. This was clunky and time-consuming. Especially since Quickbooks is not exactly known for being lightning fast. We would also then have to manually transfer over shipment data into BigCommerce which was slow as well. But with ShippingEasy everything is practically automated so now we can have one person ship orders using one solution and it integrates into our entire system making everything a million times easier.

into the Shopify and Big Commerce store platforms, free app, 1 click install, easy set-up
