Overall Satisfaction with ShipStation

I needed a shipping solution that was more powerful than the build in shipping in an eCommerce platform. ShipStation is a leader in eCommerce shipping with Real time data passed two ways to an eCommerce platform .I also needed a more robust return platform that was fully integrated with shipping and ShipStation allowed this.

Pros

  • Great integration with most eCommerce Platforms
  • Real time 2 way data (and very quick)
  • Speedy web based platform

Cons

  • Recently issues with shipments with multiple items not correctly updating in our eCommerce platform.
  • Changes to the software, would be nice to get a heads up of changes before they go live.
  • ROI has been great, took almost no time to get it setup
  • Tight integration with eCommerce
Its a very quick platform and being web based it does not require install for say viewing order's shipping status. For the shipping itself, there is a app that grabs data in near real time. Its an easy install and I have had next to no issues with the shipping aspect of the app.
Quickbooks enterprise is an all in one solution, it really is good at what it does being an all in one. A large amount has moved to QuickBooks Online which does not have a shipping solutions so many people are switching to ShipStation in order to fulfill their shipping needs by integrating directly with their eCommerce platform (no manual order entry)

If your using any of the major eCommerce platforms and do not have a very simple shipping needs, then you should use ShipStation. Most build in eCommerce platforms are not made for shipping when its anything out of the ordinary such as drop shipping, split shipments, and integrations with ones shipping acocunt at UPS or USPS, etc to get your discounts.

Using ShipStation

6 - Our Shipping and receiving department use ShipStation to ship out orders fro our eCommerce platform. Other uses use the data from ShipStation that is automatically passed to our eCommerce platform for customer service.
