As a coach in the online space, Acuity is a foundational tool for me and my business. I use it for sales calls, client calls, group calls, promotional calls, accepting payment, etc.If you're an online service provider, this is an amazing tool to delegate a lot of manual labour (sending out links, setting up meetings, reminders, questionnaires, etc.). I can also see this being a very useful tool for physical businesses that provide services.I've been an Acuity user from day 1 in my business and I can't see myself switching anytime soon!

It is really good for taking online bookings including the scheduling of repeat appointments. The ability to store documents for particular clients is useful however I feel that the client should have a more secure method of access if you were to put sensitive information on their profile. At the moment the client only needs their email address to get into their profile which is good to allow them to review a history of interaction.With continued improvements and new features added the platform is growing into a CRM tool however I feel it is still not complete and can be used for this purpose but with limitations.

  • Clicking on the link opens up my calendar, which has an uncluttered look, making it easy for my prospects and clients to review their options and make their choice.
  • I am able to customize my schedule, the types of appointments I want to offer, and even decide how many appointments I want in a day. There are so many details that I can customize.
  • I can customize how my calendar and emails look for my prospects and clients so that I come across professional and coordinated. I want the look of my business, website, etc. to have a polished, cohesive, and interesting presence.
  • I love that there is a workshop/class/series option for my workshops. My attendees reserve their place and pay upfront. I can duplicate these events or add future dates. It's wonderful. This saves us a lot of time and is so convenient.
  • I haven't had any trouble with my scheduler. It works flawlessly, so I don't have to take time out of my day to fix, troubleshoot or call customer service.
  • I love that I can add questions for my prospects to answer right away before booking a call. This means 3 fewer steps for me. 1. They answer these questions without an email from me. 2. They make their reservation and get a follow-up email, right away. 3. I customized the follow-up email with more details and actions to take to prepare for our call.

  • Very easy implementation of a contact/scheduling widget.
  • Allows for scheduling of appointments with clients. The setup is easy and the allotted times can be changed as needed. Easy for the client to use as well.
  • Managing communication between individual clients is easy as well.

  • There is no perfect system and it's hard to find things to criticize here, but I'd like to see a more graphic interface (e.g., with more of a card view than a drop-down view) so services can be featured more prominently.
  • I'd love to have greater flexibility in terms of classes and events (and how these are paid for).
  • It would be great to offer integrated CRM and e-mail marketing functions so that clients who schedule through the system can receive follow-up promotions, birthday greetings, and coupons, etc. (And maybe they have this and I just don't know about it).

Acuity Scheduling has been very reliable. If you don't believe me, check out their status page here. They do a pretty decent job maintaining their app. To be fair, it's a pretty simple tool so they shouldn't run into too many hiccups given it doesn't feature near as many options as other applications on the market run.

It's just very intuitive once you get the hang of it, which won't take long. They try not to make complex things very complex and they provide explanations for everything with a greyed-out question mark icon next to the function. Also, I love that they encourage people to just get live help when they need it.

  • Initially, it was the best assistant we ever had.
  • Over the last month, I've spent 10-15 hours trying to find a solution on my own, with no support from Acuity. This will cost us in the long run.
  • Since purchased by Squarespace, profits seem to be the main incentive for them and they don't work with the clients like before.
