Why I Always go Back to Freedcamp

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We needed a tool to develop network designs for end customers, working with the technical, engineering, admin and finance, and salespeople. This tool is perfect, it allows various people within the companies at various levels of technical ability, from near zero to high, to be able to work on a common project and achieve the end goal. Freedcamp is ideal, it allows Gnatt view, KanBan, and table views and switches between them with milestones as set by different departments, from Sales, Engineering Admin and Finance.

Pros

  • Provide simple easy to use interface from very simple views to more complex
  • Set Milestones by different departments for the project
  • Communicate across the project with different team members
  • Upload files and materials that need to be shared
  • Set different levels of ownership and access

Cons

  • CRM to be a little more complex
  • Better ability to invoice

Return on Investment

  • It's quite low cost for a business so that's a no brainer.
  • I also use it for a Non-Profit organization and we get a free version there, which is great.
  • I remember that the people running company planning especially loved how this made complex activity open for viewing by all within the company (as required) so that there was no "mystery" within projects, we all had an advance understanding of what resources and activities would be needed.

Usability

Freedcamp - The Answer to all your project management needs

Pros

  • Recurring Items - You can set reminders for daily, weekly or monthly recurring tasks. A life-saver!!!
  • Sub-Tasks - You can add sub-tasks to parent tasks. Makes managing the main task a whole lot easier.
  • File Upload - Can upload all necessary files for the project so that they can be easily accessed by the team

Cons

  • It would be helpful if tasks could be assigned to more than one person in the team

Return on Investment

  • Freedcamp is gracious to offer the use of the more premium features of the software at no cost or at a lower cost to NGOS and students. We have been fortunate to be able to use Freedcamp at no cost so the ROI for us is through the roof
