LastPass 100 out of 100% Recommend

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use LastPass for each of my business accounts. The biggest problem LastPass has resolved for me personally has to do with websites that constantly require that my password be changed. Since LastPass automatically asked if I want to Update my password, this keeps me from having to remember the new password and automatically fills in the correct password the next time I go to log into that website. Another reason I LOVE LastPass is different websites have different requirements for passwords. So I cannot just use a standard password, as it will not work for all sites. With LastPass, I just have to remember my Master Password and LastPass does the rest for me. So, no more spreadsheets or emails with all of my password that I have to go and look for. I just go to the website, click to log in and let LastPass fill in everything else.

Pros

  • Updates password for sites when you update them.
  • Keeps up with all the different site passwords that I use.
  • Allows me to categorize my vault content.
  • Allows me to add notes to my vault content items.

Cons

  • When I have more than one log in for a website, it would be great to be able to set the default login option.
  • It would also be great if LastPass would notify me if I was adding a duplicate entry.
  • Another great option would be for LastPass to periodically notify me of logins that I have saved that have not been used for 12+ months.

Return on Investment

  • LastPass has positively impacted my company by saving my valuable time for all of the logging into website throughout my day. I would say on average, LastPass saves me at least 30-45 minutes a day.
  • LastPass has positively impacted my company by saving my techs valuable in logging into the company websites on average 50+ times a day. This allows my techs to service more customers.
  • LastPass has positively impacted my company not only by saving my techs time and allowing them to service more customers, but because of this, my company is able to save on the number of techs we need to employ.

Safely store your passwords without have to remember them

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use LastPass for Business to create strong passwords or to store self-created ones (both for work apps than personals). The tool is very useful and easy to use and integrations with my browsers and the available app for my Mac make the tool easy to use. The tool is integrated with our Okta so the MFA provides an extra layer of security to LastPass accounts.

Pros

  • The Mac app is frienldy use
  • Ability to add also bank account and credit cards
  • Auto logoff is useful as it ensures that the LastPass sessions are terminated after a period of inactivity

Cons

  • Had some performance issues in the past (previous laptop)
  • Somewhat not very intuitive at a first impact
  • Mobile app not so good for me to use (I use the one on the laptop)

Return on Investment

  • Improved my password security management
  • Integration with Chrome (or other browsers) is very useful
  • As a normal user I would like to create password to share with other personal tools

Solid password manager missing a few useful features

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use LastPass to store all of our business usernames and passwords, other access information, and important number or text strings. It solves our requirement to securely store this information, it allows for very straightforward onboarding and offboarding of staff, tight access control for internal and external staff access, improves the integrity of our passwords.

Pros

  • User onboarding and offboard
  • Ease of use
  • User control

Cons

  • No ability to archive passwords
  • There is an audit trail for some aspects, but this feature could be more robust
  • No ability to grant permissions at the password level, only at a folder level.

Return on Investment

  • Saves a lot of time for all staff searching through passwords,or finding that they're no longer correct
  • Saves a lot of time and gives significant peace of mind when onboarding and offboarding staff.

LastPass for Business is the first and best system to keep information secure and sharable!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Lastpass for Business is our primary password management platform. At Born Again Media, we are constantly testing new platforms for SEO management, social media, recruitment, Human Resources, and business administration among many others. This had become an issue as people were creating accounts and forgetting passwords, not sharing them, creating double accounts, or keeping accounts active and unused. LastPass became our team sharing platform and we have different levels (folders) for people to access and use all the tools that are relevant to their job. It was so good I ended up getting LastPass to manage my personal accounts now. Every company should try it! It is simple, intuitive, secure, and simply amazing!

Pros

  • Store passwords securely.
  • Share credentials for shared accounts on various platforms.
  • Create secure passwords that we don't need to remember because Lastpass does it for us.
  • Easy one click login to different platforms.
  • Sharing passwords without actually sharing the password.

Cons

  • I think it can be a more user friendly platform. The overall look seems old-fashioned.
  • Promote mobile version and integrate better with various operating systems.
  • Folders and levels of security can be easier to manage.

Return on Investment

  • It makes collaboration easier.
  • Allows us to test software properly and in real time.

LastPass gives peace of mind

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use LastPass to store all company passwords, including things such as computer logins as well website/program logins. We have computer logins stored and shared with the business LastPass admins so that if users are away, others can still access their computers without having sticky notes or notebooks with passwords laying around. It is a great way to also store/create multiple different passwords without having to remember them all, you just need to remember your master one.

Pros

  • Ability to store multiple different logins for one site for assistants that work under multiple solicitors.
  • Ability to share passwords between staff when needed without them being sent by email or simply passed around on notes, making it much more secure.

Cons

  • Sometimes the ability to share can be hard to do for new users if they don't save to a correct folder.

Return on Investment

  • LastPass has been a great help with productivity and peace of mind in that we can use it to access the computers of people who are away without worrying about password security and we can do the work required without waiting for people to return.
